• Modernize legacy VPN and DMZ architectures by advancing Zero Trust access models.
• Establish and maintain security standards, governance practices, and compliance approaches for network security platforms.
• Partner with technical teams and technology providers—including Cisco, Palo Alto Networks, and F5—to evaluate capabilities, guide implementation, and plan platform lifecycles.

Security Engineering, Automation & Risk Reduction

• Drive network security engineering and platform improvements in partnership with development and infrastructure teams.
• Advance network automation and Infrastructure as Code practices to improve consistency, efficiency, and reliability.
• Lead or coordinate remediation of security vulnerabilities, including urgent and zero-day risks.
• Apply Agentic AI automation where appropriate to improve security operations and engineering workflows.
• Champion Full Stack Observability (FSO) and Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) practices to strengthen service health and operational insight.

Operations, Availability & Incident Leadership

• Support major incidents, change management, technical escalations, and enterprise network security operations.
• Help ensure 24x7 availability of global network security services through Follow-the-Sun operations.
• Collaborate with global operations teams to maintain secure, resilient, and highly available platforms.
• Provide technical direction during complex troubleshooting and network security issues.

Technical Leadership & Collaboration

• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to network security engineers.
• Build strong working relationships across network, cloud, security, infrastructure, manufacturing, and operations teams.
• Coordinate with internal teams and technology partners to align architecture, engineering, and operational practices.
• Communicate technical strategies, risks, dependencies, and recommendations clearly to technical and business stakeholders.
