Role Overview
Cvent is accelerating its Salesforce and Agentforce investment, and we need a practitioner who has been there before. This Forward Deployment Engineer will lead Agentforce and Data Cloud deployments, own the shift from traditional CRM automation to production agentic AI, and serve as our senior technical advisor on the Salesforce platform. You have lived the Agentforce delivery lifecycle, built sustainable operating models around it, and know what it takes to make probabilistic AI systems run reliably in a regulated, enterprise environment.
This is not a pure admin or developer role. You are a delivery leader and executive advisor who happens to be deeply credible on the Salesforce platform. You will embed with business stakeholders, diagnose their highest-impact process problems, design agentic solutions, and build the internal capability to sustain them, with Agentforce and Data Cloud as your primary instruments.
In This Role, You Will:
What You'll Do
- Lead end-to-end Agentforce and Data Cloud deployments, from C-suite requirements through production sustainment, as the senior delivery authority.
- Design and deploy autonomous agents, prompt architectures, multi-step orchestration flows, and voice/conversational AI solutions on the Salesforce platform.
- Drive the transition from deterministic Salesforce automation (Flow, Process Builder, triggers) to probabilistic AgenticOps, defining governance, monitoring, and incident response for non-deterministic agents in production.
- Build and maintain AI governance frameworks: agent dossiers, intake processes, after-action reviews, and Agentforce-specific SOPs that turn ad-hoc deployments into repeatable sustainment models.
- Establish and lead a Salesforce AI Center of Excellence, including enablement programs, certification pathways, and delivery methodology documentation.
- Partner with business stakeholders and executives to translate workflow inefficiencies into Salesforce-native agentic solutions with defined, measurable outcomes.
- Serve as technical advisor and deal partner to sales and go-to-market teams on Agentforce pursuits and solution framing.
- Define and track business impact: adoption, time saved, manual effort eliminated, CSAT improvement, and cost avoidance.
Here's What You Need:
Basic Qualifications
- 12+ years of overall experience, with at least 5 years leading enterprise Salesforce delivery in a forward-deployed, field engineering, or solution consulting capacity.
- Hands-on production experience delivering Agentforce implementations, including agent design, Prompt Builder, Topics, Actions, and agent testing/governance, not just certifications.
- Deep expertise in Salesforce platform architecture: Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, Experience Cloud, Flow automation, Apex, APIs, and integration patterns.
- Experience with Data Cloud: data modeling, identity resolution, data streams, calculated insights, and integration with Agentforce.
- Demonstrated ability to build Salesforce delivery playbooks, operating models, or Centers of Excellence that scale beyond individual engagements.
- Experience working in regulated industries (financial services, healthcare, federal) with appropriate rigor around Salesforce Shield, compliance, and security architecture.
- Ability to operate simultaneously as a C-suite advisor and a hands-on technical authority, credible in both rooms.
- Experience leading blended delivery teams (Salesforce engineers, strategists, data scientists) across cross-functional engagements.
- Willingness and ability to travel to Cvent offices and customer locations as needed.
Preferred Qualifications
- Salesforce certifications: Agentforce Specialist, Agentblazer credential, Administrator, Service Cloud Consultant, Experience Cloud Consultant, and/or Salesforce Business Analyst strongly preferred.
- Experience piloting non-GA Salesforce capabilities with Product teams and converting field learnings into reusable delivery patterns.
- Familiarity with AgenticOps: agent observability, Severity 1 incident response for non-deterministic systems, prompt governance, and agent lifecycle management on Salesforce.
- Experience integrating Salesforce with enterprise platforms including AWS, Azure, Slack, ServiceNow, Snowflake, and middleware tools such as MuleSoft, Workato, or Informatica.
- Experience with Voice and Conversational AI implementations on or adjacent to the Salesforce platform (e.g., Einstein Voice, Parloa, or similar).
- Scripting or programming ability in Apex, Python, or JavaScript; familiarity with REST/SOAP APIs, OAuth, and SSO patterns.
- Cloud platform experience (AWS, Azure, GCP) and comfort with compliance frameworks such as PCI-DSS, FedRAMP, or HIPAA in a Salesforce context.
- Experience building and presenting AI business cases, ROI models, and executive outcome summaries.
- Background in management consulting, systems integration, or Salesforce SI/partner environments.
- Experience running Salesforce enablement programs, internal certification drives, or champion communities.
Who You Are
- Agentforce practitioner: you have shipped agents in production, not just demoed them.
- Platform-deep but outcome-first: you know the Salesforce stack deeply and you always connect it to a business result.
- AgenticOps minded: you think about how agents fail, not just how they work.
- Delivery leader: you build repeatable operating models, governance frameworks, and enablement programs, not one-off implementations.
- Consultative and executive-ready: you earn the room with substance, then lead with vision.
