What We're Looking For

• Strong hands-on experience with Azure platform engineering, including provisioning cloud environments from scratch
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Bicep or Terraform
• Hands-on experience with Azure Functions, Microsoft Entra ID, Key Vault, and CI/CD using Azure DevOps or GitHub Actions
• Strong experience designing and developing REST APIs, including documented API contracts using OpenAPI and API-first architecture principles
• Advanced SQL Server and T-SQL skills, including schema design and experience working safely with legacy production databases
• Strong proficiency in either C#/.NET or Python, with the ability to understand and work with code in the other language
• Experience building AI/LLM-powered pipelines for document parsing, classification, structured output generation, confidence scoring, and human-in-the-loop validation
• Strong ability to reverse-engineer undocumented legacy applications, code, data, and business rules
• Experience developing lightweight web applications or internal tools using modern JavaScript frameworks or equivalent technologies
• Experience with testing and delivery practices including validation harnesses, end-to-end testing, acceptance testing, runbooks, and technical documentation
• Experience with template-driven document generation, OCR or intelligent document processing, e-signature integrations, workflow/rules engines, or Microsoft Graph APIs is valued
• Experience in financial services, municipal finance, or other environments with strong data accuracy and compliance requirements is valued
• Strong AI fluency, with experience incorporating AI-assisted development tools into daily engineering workflows while maintaining human review and validation of generated output
• Ability to operate autonomously as the primary technical builder across multiple concurrent workstreams
• Strong client-facing communication skills, including the ability to lead SME validation sessions, understand business requirements, and explain technical decisions to non-technical stakeholders
• Strong ownership, prioritization, and problem-solving skills, with proactive and transparent communication around progress, risks, and blockers
• Pragmatic delivery mindset focused on incremental implementation, early working software, and avoiding unnecessary complexity

Own the hands-on technical delivery of a modernization initiative, building its Azure foundation, API layer, AI-powered workflows, and integrations while progressively replacing legacy processes. Work autonomously across multiple workstreams and directly with client stakeholders to turn complex business needs into pragmatic, production-ready solutions.
