The Quality Supervisor is responsible for overseeing quality inspectors in manufacturing and customer-focused teams to meet customer requirements and workmanship criteria. This includes defining quality requirements for inspection, monitoring production quality performance to identify opportunities for improvement, and ensuring adherence to Creation’s Quality System, customer, andregulatory compliance.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include, but not limited to:
• Oversee task assignments and performance of multiple quality inspectors.
• Oversees the inspection of products in manufacturing.
• Maintain and report on the performance of inspections and identify areas for improvement.
• Participates in the investigation of manufacturing (or supplier) issues, identifying, resolving, and implementing solutions.
• Ensure IPC (Association Connecting Electronics Industries) criteria have been met according to IPC standards.
• Keep the quality leader apprised of significant occurrences and trends impacting product quality or manufacturing operations.
• Ensure compliance with all applicable quality assurance standards and internal standard operating procedures.
• Monitor records of inspection data in the MES system.
• Communicate and participate in tier meetings with quality engineers, process engineers, and team leaders regarding major issues and support inspection activities.
• Continuously work to improve site metrics.
• Manage projects or tasks within the department, coordinating resources and prioritizing activities to meet objectives.
• Perform other job duties and responsibilities as required.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Education:
• High School diploma or equivalent; Associate degree preferred.
Experience:
• Minimum of 5 years of work experience in any combination of Quality Assurance, manufacturing, or process engineering
(electronics manufacturing preferred).
• Previous leadership experience is preferred.
Skills Required:
• Intermediate proficiency in MS Office Word and PowerPoint with intermediate knowledge in Excel
• Knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and operations.
• EMS or equivalent experience.
• Familiarity with ISO 9001, AS9100, AS9102, CFR 21 Part 820, and ISO 13485.
• Experience with measuring equipment and Measurement System Analysis is an asset.
• Strong organizational skills and self-motivation.
• Working knowledge and comprehension of IPC standards (preferred).
• Ability to operate advanced equipment and read technical drawings.
• Demonstrated ability to analyze complex quality problems and implement innovative solutions.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills in English, with the ability to influence decision-making processes.
In compliance with pay transparency requirements, the anticipated starting pay for new hires for this position is between $78,000-$100,000 per year. Full-time employees are also eligible for performance based bonuses and benefits. This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, as a final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience, education, location, and shift. The specific programs and options available to an employee may vary depending on the date of hire, schedule type, and hours worked.
