Head of B2B Sales

About the Team:

The B2B team operates like a startup within CookUnity: entrepreneurial, fast-paced, and bold in its ambitions. We're building a new category at the intersection of food, healthcare, and outcomes-driven nutrition. Our Healthcare vertical is one of our highest-priority growth areas, and this role sits right at the center of it.

CookUnity is the leading chef-to-consumer platform connecting independent chefs with food lovers across the country. By combining culinary creativity with a powerful technology platform, we're redefining meal delivery and making chef-crafted meals more accessible than ever. Our mission is to empower chefs while delivering an exceptional food experience to customers nationwide.

The role:

We are seeking a Head of Sales to lead the next phase of B2B growth, scaling revenue and building a repeatable sales engine. This leader will build and run a high-performance B2B sales organization serving foodservice channels primarily.

The role owns the full sales funnel, from identifying target markets and generating qualified leads to closing business, expanding accounts, and driving repeat revenue. Success requires both hands-on selling and the ability to build a disciplined, repeatable sales engine.

We are looking for a commercial leader with strong fundamentals in B2B sales: prospecting, qualification, consultative selling, negotiation, pipeline management, forecasting, and sales team development.

What you will own

This role will drive B2B growth across foodservice, retail, institutional, and distribution channels, building relationships with customers and partners across a range of commercial markets.

Revenue growth and sales strategy

• Build and execute a sales strategy that creates a credible path to $100 million in revenue
• Prioritize channels, customer segments, and accounts based on revenue potential, profitability, sales cycle, and operational fit.
• Translate growth ambitions into annual plans, quarterly targets, territory coverage, and individual quotas.
• Own sales results, balancing new customer acquisition, account expansion, and retention

Lead generation and conversion

• Take full accountability for generating sufficient qualified pipeline to meet growth targets.
• Develop senior relationships with major customers, distributors, and foodservice operators.
• Navigate complex buying processes involving procurement, culinary, operations, finance, and executive stakeholders.
• Establish rigorous qualification, discovery, proposal, negotiation, and closing practices.
• Personally lead strategic pursuits and major negotiations.
• Partner with marketing on demand generation while maintaining clear sales accountability for pipeline generation and development.
• Build repeatable prospecting programs across outbound sales, referrals, industry events, strategic partnerships, and inbound opportunities.

Sales organization and operating discipline

• Design, recruit, and develop the sales organization needed at each stage of growth, including business development, account executives, account management, and sales operations.
• Set clear expectations, coach consistently, and build a culture of accountability and high performance.
• Establish compensation plans and incentives that support profitable, sustainable growth.
• Implement disciplined CRM use, pipeline reviews, forecasting, and performance management.
• Build sales playbooks that make success repeatable across people, accounts, and channels.
• Bring customer insight into product development, pricing, packaging, and service decisions.

Requierements

• A demonstrated track record of scaling B2B revenue and building high-performing sales teams in a growth-stage business or business unit.
• Experience owning the full sales funnel, including lead generation—not solely managing existing accounts or closing inbound opportunities.
• Strong command of consultative selling, complex account development, negotiation, pipeline management, and forecasting.
• Evidence of recruiting, coaching, and retaining strong sales talent, with clear performance standards.
• Experience selling into foodservice, retail, institutional, distribution, or similarly complex B2B markets. Experience winning retail accounts and established relationships in relevant channels such as corporate and healthcare are a plus.
• Commercial and financial judgment, including an understanding of pricing, margins, cost to serve, and contract economics.
• The ability to operate hands-on today while building the people, processes, and systems required for substantially greater scale.
