Project Manager (Contract)

*This position is contingent upon contract award.
Award is anticipated in early 2027, with work beginning shortly after.

Responsibilities

• Serve as owner's representative during vendor-led implementations
• Build and manage project plans, timelines, status reports, issue tracking, and risk and decision logs
• Hold vendors and client staff accountable to agreed scope, schedule, budget and deliverables
• Coordinate client business teams, IT staff, vendors and other third parties
• Identify risks early and run escalation and decision-making with client leadership
• Define acceptance criteria, testing plans, training needs, go-live readiness and post-launch stabilization

Required expertise

• 7+ years managing technology implementation projects
• Has served as owner-side project manager or owner's representative on at least two vendor-led software implementations
• Has managed projects involving multiple business departments and outside vendors at the same time
• Has led user acceptance testing, go-live and post-launch stabilization
• Has recovered at least one at-risk or failing technology project
• Experience with associations, nonprofits or membership organizations

Preferred qualifications

• PMP or PMI-ACP certification
• Experience overseeing AMS, LMS or credentialing system implementations
• Change management experience
