We are currently launching a completely rebuilt website on WordPress and are seeking an SEO Specialist who can help drive meaningful growth in traffic, visibility, and lead generation. This is not a traditional SEO role focused only on audits or reporting. We are looking for someone hands-on, strategic, and execution-oriented — someone who can own SEO initiatives from planning through implementation and directly contribute to measurable business impact. Role Details: Location: 100% Remote Engagement Type: Contract with potential to convert to full-time based on performance Reports To: Director of Marketing What You Will Be Doing: Work directly with the Director of Marketing to build algoseek’s organic visibility from the ground up on a newly launched WordPress site. The content exists. The strategy exists. The pages exist. What does not exist yet is proper technical SEO implementation, AI search optimization, indexing, measurement, and iteration. You will own on-page SEO, technical SEO, AI search optimization, content optimization for search intent, internal linking architecture, indexing strategy, search performance measurement, and reporting. You will be the person who knows why we are or are not ranking, and what to do about it. What We’re Looking For: AI-first search understanding. How AI searches and finds information is different from traditional search. Its focus is different. It surfaces articles and information that are genuinely useful, not filler. You must be able to explain how AEO and AIO work, not just conceptually but practically. If your SEO knowledge stopped evolving in 2023, this is not the right fit. On-page technical SEO. Yes, H1s, H2s, H3s, meta tags, structured data, internal linking, crawl optimization. This is the baseline. Stating the obvious is not a strategy. We expect this to be done correctly as a matter of course, not presented as a deliverable. Strategic thinking that leads to execution. We have heard enough plans that never get executed. We do not need someone who talks about what they would do. We need someone who does it and shows the results. Complete projects, start to finish. Not fragments. B2B and technical content understanding. Our content covers quantitative trading, market data infrastructure, backtesting methodology, exchange licensing, and real-time data pipelines. You do not need to be a quant, but you need to be able to read our content, understand the audience intent behind the searches that lead to it, and optimize accordingly. Hands-on WordPress execution. You will be working directly in WordPress. Plugin configuration, technical SEO implementation, schema markup, sitemap management, page speed optimization. Not directing someone else to do it. What We Do NOT Need: We do not need someone who smothers the world in backlinks and calls it a strategy. We do not need someone who monitors rankings once a week and sends a PDF. We do not need theory without action. Requirements: Demonstrable experience running SEO for B2B or technical/financial content (not e-commerce, not local SEO, not consumer blogs) Complete projects from start to finish — not just audits or recommendations, but full execution and measurable results Working knowledge of how AI-driven search (AEO/AIO) differs from traditional SEO and how to optimize for it Hands-on WordPress proficiency — themes, plugins, technical configuration Ability to think strategically and explain a six-month plan that you can actually deliver Strong English communication — you will be working directly with leadership Available to start immediately How to Apply: Send a short note explaining one SEO project you ran from start to finish, what you did, and what happened.
