Data Analyst (Maternity Cover - 1 Year)

Location: St Julian’s, Malta (Hybrid - up to 3 days from home per week)

We are looking for a sharp, proactive Data Analyst to join our Analytics & BI crew in Malta on a 12-month maternity cover. Functioning as an agile hybrid between a Business Intelligence analyst and a strategic storyteller, you will dive into our data pipelines, query raw datasets using SQL, maintain our Tableau ecosystem, and translate complex numbers into compelling narratives for Product Owners and C-level leaders.

What You’ll Do

• Dive Deep with SQL: Run ad-hoc queries, interrogate large transactional databases, and extract clean datasets to answer critical business questions.
• Shape BI & Dashboards: Maintain, refine, and build intuitive front-end reports in Tableau, providing constructive analytical feedback on dashboard usability and structure.
• Tell the Story Behind the Data: Translate complex trends, customer behaviour metrics, and profitability drivers into clear presentations and actionable recommendations for senior leadership and product squads.
• Validate & Innovate: Sense-check reporting structures, perform data reconciliations, and validate outputs from emerging internal AI analytical tools.
• Support Commercial Decision-Making: Analyze customer lifetime value, campaign ROI, and operational KPIs to directly guide product decisions.

Who You Are

• Hands-on with SQL & BI Tools:Confident running queries in SQL independently and experienced with business intelligence visualization tools (Tableau strongly preferred; Advanced Excel is a given).
• Analytical Background: Proven background in data analytics, consulting, or audit—ideally you bring more than 3 years of hands-on experience.
• Strong Communicator:Outstanding presentation skills with an ability to tailor insights and data narratives effectively for both technical peers and executive audiences.
