Team Lead DSI - DSI (Night) 2026

Description

Purpose/Scope:

·         Assists Supervisor in coordinating activities of employees and accomplishing requirements per company, customer, and USDA guidelines. Helps to ensure that all policies, procedures, and guidelines are followed while producing a quality, cost effective product in a safe and timely manner.

Duties & Responsibilities:

·         Assists in training and direction to ensure employees meet requirements and job function according to company, state, and federal guidelines. 

·         Assists in ensuring product and processing meets required standards and guidelines of customer, federal and state guidelines.

·         Assists in ensuring that goals are met daily and help improve morale in department.

·         Completes required written and/or electronic reports.

·         Reports machine and equipment malfunction to maintenance personnel.

·         Ensures department (inside and outside), and production area is neat, clean, and safe for operations. 

·         Ensures that all employees use required PPE and follow all safety guidelines of the Company. 

·         Performs other duties as assigned

Qualifications: (Required/Desired)

Skills & knowledge needed for the effective performance of essential job functions:

·         Must have good leadership skills.

·         Must have good computer skills.

·         Must have good math skills.                              

·         Able to read, write and verbally communicate effectively to employees at all levels (English).

·         Must be able to make sound decisions and manage multiple priorities.

Physical Requirements:

·         Stand duration of shift – all scheduled hours.

·         Workable use of both hands and able to grasp.

·         Good eye sight (with or without corrective lens).

·         Able to perform repetitive task.                                                   

·         Able to reach, bend, climb, push, pull, and stoup.

·         Able to lift 3 to 75 lbs. in weight.

Environmental Conditions:

·         Environment is cold and wet. 

·         Sound fluctuates from quiet to loud.

Summary

Team Lead - Class 5 

Rate ranges from $18.10 to $24.10 depending on time in service with Coastal Processing per defined Pay Rate Scale.
