To make this happen you would engage with experts from various NXP groups and locations in China – from general management to sales, strategy, R&D, innovation labs or manufacturing. You will be based in Shanghai and report to the global Vice President of Marketing & Communications in Europe, while strategizing and closely collaborating with the Executive Vice President Greater China business line and the China sales leaders. Responsibilities Lead the China marketing and communications team and overall planning, translating China business priorities and global marketing and communications strategies into measurable, impactful outcomes Grow NXP’s brand reputation in physical AI across our growth markets Automotive, Industrial and Consumer in China by co-creating a differentiated business narrative Act as a key strategic and communications partner to the EVP Greater China business line and sales leadership—bridging global marketing and communications strategy with the speed and pragmatism of the China market. Be hands-on in creating positioning, thought leadership, executive communications and stakeholder engagement in the China region. Accelerate the digital customer journeys through AI-enabled strategies and content, integrated campaigns, and cooperative initiatives with distributors and partners, contributing to the business pipeline and sales growth in China. Build and maintain a strong network with media, industry analysts, technology influencers, and other key opinion leaders to strengthen NXP’s thought leadership in China. Expand NXP’s influence and drive meaningful engagement with key ecosystems across developer communities, universities, technology partners, —especially with young developers and the next generation of technology stakeholders Inspire and influence both internal and external audiences across a wide range of settings—customer engagements, industry forums, partner and NGO events, government engagements, trade activities, and employee communications Develop impactful, AI-discoverable content for new products and technologies, executive engagement, and customer stories Coordinate local industry events, tech days, and customer training Set clear goals, and measure and report results in a way that is meaningful to each stakeholder group Qualifications Senior manager or director with extensive experience in AI-enhanced marketing and communications, digital marketing, public relations, branding, executive communications, or a closely related discipline. Proven ability to translate business priorities and market opportunities into integrated digital marketing and communications strategies or thought leadership programs in China, with measurable business outcomes. Excellent storytelling skills combined with experience in reputation management, executive positioning, crisis communications within complex global organizations. A strong networker—internally across business leaders, product marketing, sales, and regional communications teams in a matrixed environment, and externally with journalists, analysts, technology influencers, developer communities, distributors, and agencies in China—with the credibility to act as a trusted spokesperson for both internal and external audiences. Demonstrated experience using market insights, media performance, audience engagement metrics, and stakeholder feedback to shape communications priorities, optimize programs, and strengthen business impact. Strong strategic thinking with the ability to drive decisions across functions, regions, and senior leadership levels. Strong understanding of the China media, technology, and business landscape, with experience navigating regional market dynamics and stakeholder environments. Excellent communication skills in English, with the ability to adapt messaging for diverse internal and external audiences. A self-starter with strong curiosity, learning agility, and entrepreneurial drive—highly organized, comfortable leading through ambiguity, and able to adapt continuously and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Experience Master’s degree in Communications, Public Relations, Marketing, Journalism, Business, or a related field. 10+ years of experience in corporate communications, branding, digital marketing, or related leadership roles.
