Department of Energy, Cybersecurity Intelligence and Security Support Services (CIS3) Infrastructure Engineering Pipeline
Peraton is seeking experienced Infrastructure Engineers to support anticipated opportunities on the Department of Energy, Cybersecurity Intelligence and Security Support Services (CIS3) program. We are building a pipeline of highly qualified technical professionals with experience supporting complex, secure, enterprise IT environments.
Candidates may be considered for current and future openings based on customer authorization, program requirements, technical qualifications, and clearance eligibility. These opportunities are expected to support the ramp up, build out, and ongoing operations of a new data center environment, including enterprise infrastructure, network, systems, security, storage, and other related technologies. Positions are anticipated to be based primarily in Northern Virginia, including Manassas, VA.
Day to Day Roles and Responsibilities:
Depending on the assigned functional area, responsibilities may include designing, implementing, administering, maintaining, troubleshooting, securing, and optimizing enterprise infrastructure technologies. Engineers may support highly available and mission critical environments while working closely with other infrastructure, cybersecurity, operations, and engineering teams.
We are seeking candidates with experience in one or more of the following functional areas:
- Storage and Backup Engineering with experience supporting technologies such as Nutanix and Cohesity
- Senior Network Engineering with experience supporting enterprise network infrastructure, routing, switching, network troubleshooting, and related technologies
- Linux Engineering with experience administering, maintaining, securing, and troubleshooting Linux based systems
- Windows, Active Directory, and Virtualization Engineering with experience supporting Windows Server environments, Active Directory, virtualization platforms, and enterprise infrastructure services
- F5 Load Balancer Engineering with experience configuring, administering, troubleshooting, and maintaining F5 technologies
- Exchange Engineering with experience supporting Microsoft Exchange and enterprise messaging environments
- SolarWinds Engineering with experience administering, configuring, monitoring, and troubleshooting SolarWinds platforms and related infrastructure monitoring tools
- Palo Alto Firewall Engineering with experience supporting Palo Alto Networks firewall technologies, security policies, network security, and troubleshooting
- Splunk Engineering with experience supporting Splunk platforms, including data ingestion, searches, dashboards, monitoring, troubleshooting, and platform administration
- ACAS Engineering with experience supporting Assured Compliance Assessment Solution technologies, vulnerability scanning, configuration, reporting, and remediation efforts
- Trellix Engineering with experience supporting Trellix security technologies, endpoint security, threat detection, security administration, and related cybersecurity capabilities
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree and 8 years of experience or a Masters degree and 6 years of experience or High School diploma and 12 years of experience.
- Must be a U.S. Citizen
- Active DOE Q or DOD Top Secret. Candidates must be eligible to obtain and maintain a DOE Q/SCI clearance.
- Demonstrated experience supporting one or more of the functional areas listed above
- Experience supporting complex enterprise, government, or similarly large scale IT environments
- Ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues and work effectively with cross functional technical teams
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work onsite as required by the customer and program
Preferred Qualifications:
- Active DOE Q/SCI or TS/SCI clearance preferred
- Experience supporting Department of Energy environments
- Experience supporting highly secure, mission critical, or classified enterprise infrastructure environments
- Experience working in large scale data center, cloud, hybrid cloud, or enterprise IT environments
- Relevant technical certifications associated with the candidate's functional area
- Experience with automation, scripting, infrastructure monitoring, cybersecurity tools, or enterprise operations
- Experience working in environments with strict security, compliance, availability, and operational requirements
