Senior Power BI Developer - Clearance Required
LMI is seeking a Secret-cleared Power BI Developer to support the redesign, development, and modernization of business intelligence, data visualization, reporting, and knowledge management solutions.
A successful Power BI Developer will have five (5) or more years of experience using Power BI software for data modeling, dashboard development, reporting, automation, and analytics. The Power BI Developer will have supporting experience with Power Platform tools, including Power Apps, Power Pages, and Power Automate, to enable integrated data-driven solutions. The Power BI Developer will be able to leverage the Agile Way of Working to engage stakeholders and meet customers’ needs. A successful Power BI Developer will be detail oriented, possess the management skills to hold people accountable to quality expectations and timelines, and respond quickly to evolving client needs. A background in digital transformation, data analytics, development, and/or User Experience/Human Centered Design is highly desired.

- Solution Design:
- Analyze business requirements to identify Power BI reporting, dashboard, and data visualization solutions
- Design and develop Power BI solutions, including semantic models, datasets, dashboards, reports, and automated reporting capabilities to modernize legacy solutions
- Collaborate with business stakeholders to ensure solutions meet their needs
- Development:
- Develop Power BI solutions using Power BI Desktop, Power BI Service, DAX, Power Query, and supporting Power Platform capabilities
- Create interactive dashboards, reports, data models, and other components to deliver actionable insights to stakeholders
- Integrate Power BI with SharePoint, SQL Server, cloud services, and other systems and applications
- Testing and Quality Assurance:
- Test and debug Power BI solutions to ensure they meet quality standards, data accuracy requirements, and user needs
- Perform unit, integration, and system testing
- Provide technical support for Power BI reports, dashboards, datasets, and related applications
- Maintenance and Support:
- Provide ongoing maintenance and support for Power BI solutions
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to Power BI reports, dashboards, data refreshes, and data models
- Stay up-to-date with the latest Power BI and Power Platform technologies and best practices
- Documentation:
- Create and maintain technical documentation for SharePoint solutions
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, Data Analytics or related field
- 3-5+ years of experience developing Power BI solutions
- Strong understanding of Power BI architecture, data modeling, development frameworks, and best practices
- Proficiency in Power BI Desktop, Power BI Service, DAX, Power Query, and relevant data visualization techniques
- Experience developing interactive dashboards, reports, semantic models, datasets, and data refresh solutions
- Knowledge of SQL Server, database design, and data integration concepts
- Experience with Power BI and supporting Power Platform software, including Power Apps, Power Pages, and Power Automate, for automation, documentation, and reporting
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Must possess an active Secret clearance.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Master’s degree
- Organizational change management understanding and/or certifications
- Experience with Human Centered Design principles and methodologies
- Experience with 508 compliance requirements
- Previous experience within the government contracting space
- Previous experience in DoW
Target salary range: $110,000 - $130,000
