Lab Operations & Client Relations Manager

Evesham, New Jersey 08053 The Lab Operations & Client Relations Manager is responsible for managing the business, client, and revenue-cycle relationships of the physician owned laboratory (POL). This role serves as the primary liaison between the lab and referring physician practices, ensuring smooth onboarding of new accounts, resolving billing and specimen-handling issues, maintaining compliance with healthcare regulations (including Stark Law and Anti-Kickback Statute requirements specific to physician-owned labs), and driving account growth and retention.Manage and grow a portfolio of referring physician accounts, serving as the main point of contact for client needs
· Oversee onboarding of new referring providers/practices, including account setup, requisition/EHR integration, and courier/logistics coordination
· Manage contracts and working relationships with Lab Pro Solutions contractors, including agreement renewals, performance tracking, and issue resolution
· Oversee and support lab draw sites, including site setup/expansion, staffing coordination, and ongoing monitoring of job performance and service quality
· Manage phlebotomist staff, including scheduling, training, and performance oversight, should direct phlebotomy management fall under this role
· Provide oversight of the Lab Manager for the main lab facility, including performance management and alignment on operational priorities
· Monitor test volume, turnaround times, and client satisfaction; proactively address service issues
· Collaborate with billing/revenue cycle staff to resolve claim denials, coding questions, and client billing disputes
· Ensure all account activities comply with Stark Law, Anti-Kickback Statute, CLIA, and other applicable healthcare regulations governing physician-owned labs
· Track and report key account metrics (volume, revenue, retention) to lab leadership
· Coordinate with lab operations, couriers, and IT to resolve specimen transport, requisition, or interface issues
· Identify and pursue opportunities for account growth within compliance boundaries
· Maintain accurate CRM/account records and documentation
· Support marketing and outreach efforts to referring physician offices as appropriate

The compensation range for this position is $65,000 - $85,000 annually. Compensation is based on the level and requirements of the role.
Salary within our ranges may also be determined by your education, experience, knowledge, skills, abilities, and location, as required by the role, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data.
