Senior Activation Bonus PM, Capital One Shopping (Remote-Eligible)

Activation Bonus PM, Capital One Shopping (Remote-Eligible)

Capital One Shopping is an industry-leading consumer technology business that is changing the way people buy and save online. The team operates with extreme focus to accelerate growth of the Shopping business, find best-in-market savings for shoppers, and create unique value for our merchant partners.

Technology and a rapid test-and-learn methodology are applied to nearly all of our business challenges. The team has a flat organizational structure that emphasizes clear ownership, small teams, and leverage through technology.

We are looking for a Senior Manager, Product Management to join our team to own and accelerate our consumer growth and retention experiences. This Product Manager will have a demonstrated interest and aptitude for AI. While formal on-the-job experience with AI is a plus, we highly value candidates who have proactively incorporated AI into their personal projects, explored AI-driven development environments (e.g., Claude Code, Codex, Cursor), or built automations using AI agents. Show us how you've used AI to learn, build, and solve complex and data-intensive problems independently.

Role Description: In this role, you will be a key driver of business growth - owning all aspects of the team, technology, and tooling that onboards and activates merchant relationships across Shopping’s suite of product experiences:

• Lead the strategy and development of consumer reward experiences designed to maximize early product adoption and long-term retention.

• Leverage data analytics and user behavior insights to build and scale personalized, cross-channel product journeys that create the most value for our users.

• Work directly with engineering in a cross-functional leadership capacity to iteratively build, rapidly A/B test, and launch optimized consumer experiences.

• Own the business case, prioritization, and monitoring for the product experiences under your purview, building a suite of operational reports and models using SQL, Excel, and financial modeling to drive optimal investment decisions.

The ideal candidate is a high-leverage, data-driven product leader who combines startup grit with the technical depth and product intuition to build products that deliver world-class results.

• Competitive and Ambitious Mindset: You are a self-driven performer who aims to be among the best in the world at what you do. You independently and continuously seek to grow and improve and want to be around others who are similarly driven. You observe and study other best-in-class companies and people and have a well-formed opinion about what makes them great.

• Impact-Driven and Data-Fluent: You measure your success by tangible business and user outcomes. With a solid foundation in business analysis and practical SQL experience, you can pull your own data and translate raw metrics into actionable product choices. You track performance, prioritize features based on ROI, and make decisive calls grounded in a strong understanding of product data.

• Unnatural Focus, Intensity, and Speed: You operate with a level of leverage and speed that most competent people believe is impossible. By focusing exclusively on the primary drivers of value, mastering the "art of saying no," you lead teams toward 10x and 100x outcomes rather than incremental gains.

• Performant Design and Iterative Development: You are a student of performant user experience design, driven by a deep understanding of user psychology and product testing experience. You likely have a library of "good and bad" product examples saved as screenshots and use this to drive engagement and conversion excellence. You observe and take note of areas of opportunity every time you personally install a new app or digital service. You have a strong preference to rapidly AB test experiences and observe real results vs. debate what the “perfect design” is.

• Technical Curiosity and Depth: You have a passion for technology and seek every opportunity to understand all of the pieces that power your experiences. You are likely building with AI in your spare time and prefer working as “one team” with engineering in a lean, fluid environment rather than through rigid planning processes. Engineering teams are used to hearing you ask “Can you walk me through how this would work?” as you evaluate whether our technical approaches are as simple and elegant as possible.

• Lean, High Ownership Execution: You have a bias for action and value working in a flat, lean, startup-like organization structure where you will roll up your sleeves to solve problems with firsthand knowledge on a daily basis. If there is an important job to be done you’re the first to roll up your sleeves and help drive it to completion no matter what the task is.

Basic Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree or military experience

• At least 5 years of experience in Digital Product Management, at least 2 of which are in consumer-facing Product Management.

• At least 3 years of experience working with SQL for data analysis and product monitoring

• At least 2 years of experience driving Product Growth (e.g., user acquisition, activation, or retention)

Preferred Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree in a quantitative field (Statistics, Economics, Operations Research, Analytics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Information Systems or a related quantitative field) or Computer Science or Engineering

• 5+ years of experience in a high growth/startup technology environment

• 5+ years experience working with SQL

• 5+ years of business analysis experience

• 8+ years of experience working directly with software engineering departments to build tooling and processes to support and scale new product experiences

• Demonstrated application of AI to build digital products

• Experience translating business strategy and analysis into consumer-facing digital products
