Position Summary:

The Senior Data Migration Consultant is responsible for providing technical leadership for data migration workstreams and is accountable for solution quality, delivery timelines, and mentorship. 

Essential Functions & Responsibilities:

  • Collaborates with clients and business stakeholders to gather and analyze data migration requirements. 
  • Translates business requirements into the technical specifications required for each SAP Data Migration 
  • Leads migration strategy for complex programs or modules.  
  • Defines migration standards, tools, and reusable assets. 
  • Reviews and approves mappings, transformations, and validation results.  
  • Serves as the escalation point for data migration issues.   
  • Creates user manuals, configuration guides, and training materials for the SAP Data Migration processes. 
  • Works closely with others, including developers, project managers, cross-functional teams, solution architects, and functional consultants to ensure seamless migration with other SAP modules (e.g., SAP ECC, S/4HANA, SAP EWM, etc.). 
  • Partners with project leadership on planning and risk mitigation. 
  • Collaborates with both technical and functional teams to investigate and resolve issues impacting SAP functionality, as well as to support system integration, data migration, and interface development.  
  • Develops SAP conversion solutions using a variety of technologies (LSMW, SAP Data Services, IDOC, BAPI, SQL, Migration Cockpit (LTMC), Modeler (LTMOM)).  
  • Actively participates in end-to-end mock conversions and go-lives.  
  • Coaches and develops junior team members. 
  • Ensures compliance with data governance and audit requirements.  
  • Adheres to all certified processes as part of our commitment to maintaining the highest standards of quality and information security, which includes actively participating in quality assurance activities and ensuring the protection of sensitive information in accordance with our security policies. 
  • Performs other related tasks as assigned. 

Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in MIS, CS, IT, STEM, or other related field and 5-7 years of progressive data migration experience, OR no degree and 7-10 years of experience.   
  • SAP Data Services Certification. 
  • Advanced understanding of a wide range of SAP data migration tools and techniques, (e.g.: LSMW, SAP Data Services, IDOC, BAPI, SQL, Migration Cockpit (LTMC), Modeler (LTMOM) with the ability to independently design, develop, test, debug and implement. 
  • Experience with enterprise systems (preferably SAP).  
  • Strong ERP and data architecture understanding. 
  • Strong client consulting and communication skills with a proven ability to work directly with clients and stakeholders.  
  • Strong organizational and analytical skills, with a strong attention to detail. 
  • Exceptional critical and analytical thinking skills with the ability to handle detailed processes and projects and successfully troubleshooting simple and complex problems. 
  • Must have an active Government Clearance, or be able to obtain one prior to start date, which requires U.S. citizenship.  

Compensation: In accordance with pay transparency law, the expected salary range for this position is $135,000 – $155,000 annually. The actual compensation offered will be determined based on factors such as the candidate’s experience, qualifications, skills, and location. We are committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. This posted range reflects our good faith estimate of the compensation we reasonably expect to offer for this role at the time of posting.
