The Role

We are looking for an AI Automation Engineer to join our R&D team and help turn emerging AI capabilities into practical, production-ready solutions.

You'll design, build and deploy AI-driven automation that improves workflows and supports business operations. Working with generative AI, conversational AI and agent-based workflows, you'll take ideas from initial concept through implementation, integration and ongoing optimisation.

This is a hands-on engineering role for someone who enjoys building real applications with AI rather than focusing solely on research or experimentation.

Key Responsibilities

Design, build and deploy AI-driven automation solutions.
Develop and operate AI-powered applications, including chatbots, assistants and agents.
Build new capabilities and workflows for AI agents.
Integrate AI models and services into existing systems using APIs and cloud technologies.
Identify automation opportunities with technical and business stakeholders.
Translate business requirements into working, end-to-end technical solutions.
Monitor, evaluate and improve the performance and reliability of AI applications.
Continuously explore emerging AI technologies and identify opportunities to apply them.

What We're Looking For

Strong programming experience in JavaScript, TypeScript and/or Python.
Hands-on experience with large language models (LLMs) and generative AI.
Experience using model APIs, prompt engineering and building applications on top of AI models.
Practical experience developing and deploying conversational AI solutions, such as chatbots, assistants or voicebots.
Experience building workflow automation or AI-powered applications.
Strong knowledge of APIs, REST services and system integrations.
Experience with a major cloud platform, such as Google Cloud Platform or an equivalent.
The ability to turn ambiguous requirements into practical technical solutions.
Good written and spoken English.

Desirable Experience

Workflow orchestration and automation tools.
DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines.
Containerisation technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.
A strong interest in emerging AI developments and agentic systems.
