As a Sr. Operations Analyst, you will report to the Director of Lean & Industrial Engineering and will be responsible for partnering with factories and Brooks offices in Asia to convert raw data into actionable business intelligence through systematic analysis and clear communication of findings to drive organization success, uncovering hidden patterns and trends to inform strategic decision marking and optimize operations, and responsible for transforming complex datasets into strategic business insights.
DATA ANALYSIS, INSIGHTS & REPORTING
- Strategic Insight Generation: Identify trends and patterns in complex data to solve high priority business problems and uncover growth opportunities.
- Predictive Analytics: Utilize statistical methods mathematical analysis to forecast future outcomes and assess business impact.
- Data Collection & Extraction: Collect data from primary and secondary sources such as databases from factories.
- Data cleaning & Quality Assurance: Remove corrupted data, fixing data collection errors, and ensuring data accuracy and integrity before analysis.
- Data Visualization: Create interactive dashboards and reports to make data easily understandable for stakeholders.
- Evaluate factory efforts to comply with and support optimization and automation efforts and record and report on results. Create and execute plans for improvement when results are not meeting desired outcomes.
SYSTEMS & PROCESS IMPROVEMENT
- Build strong relationship with various levels of leadership in both Brooks and factories. Implement lean strategy deployment and process improvements within Brooks footwear manufacturing partners.
- Measurement Systems design: Design and manage systems for collection of data from the factory floors. Explore new systems and build ad hoc measurement systems for data collection. Collaborate with HQ IT on design and share systems requirements to ensure IT can support any tools from a data operations and security standpoint.
- Identify opportunities for process and product improvement and provide recommendations to Director of Lean & Industrial Engineering.
- Lead efforts to optimize data within the manufacturing of footwear to drive continuous improvement.
- Support Lean, Production, IE and Costing Engineering, Costing Analysis to use data to drive strategy to improve efficiency and reduce costs.
CROSS-FUNCTIONAL/ EXTERNAL COLLABORATION and INFLUENCE
- Stakeholder Management: Collaborates with cross-functional teams to translate ambiguous business needs into structured analytical solutions.
- Leadership & Mentorship: Provides guidance to junior analysts, sets analytical standards, and oversees the quality of departmental outputs.
- Stakeholder Collaboration: Working with cross-functional teams to understand their data needs and provide recommendations for process improvements.
- Influence factories and offices to review data and refine manufacturing processes to ensure efficiency, productivity, quality and cost.
- Influence factories to staff and support optimization and automation efforts.
- Oversee direct, indirect labor.
- Other responsibilities as required.
- Bachelor’s Degree in a quantitative field (e.g; Statistics, Computer Science, Business Analytics or 5 years of equivalent experience in the field)
- 5+ years of professional experience in data analytics or related field.
- Experience in VSM’s, rapid Improvement (Kaizen) events, A3thinking, and managing daily improvement.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, demonstrating effective listening through concise, clear verbal and written communication.
- Excellent interpersonal skills that inspire and build trust resulting in effective working relationships across the company and factories.
- Demonstration of innovation and initiative – always looking at improving our cost and processes while also displaying a willingness to dive into the details and help out wherever necessary.
- Passionate participation in Brooks’ sports activities a plus, overridden by the ability to understand and empathize with the runner in order to develop loyal, engaging relationships with our customers and the Brooks community.
