Short Summary:

The Instructional Assistant will assist in preparing and managing classroom activities, providing classroom instruction, and assisting with administrative tasks.
Responsibilities:
- Assist in maintaining student records and provide feedback as requested by the teacher.
- Conduct instructional activities outlined by the teacher and work with students to develop various skills.
- Provide small group activities for differentiated instruction in the multi-grade level classroom.
- Provide positive student behavior management support.
- Monitor online instructional programs, as assigned.
- Assist with supervision of students with instruction or activities that may fall within or outside the classroom environment.
- Assist with maintaining a safe, neat, and orderly learning space.
- Implement support and individual student accommodations.
- Follow district guidelines in maintaining classroom management, discipline, and confidentiality.
- Participate in required staff development, staff meetings, special events, and school-sponsored activities.
- Assist with the preparation of instructional materials and classroom displays.
- Manage personal timesheet and abide by payroll procedures.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirement:
- High school diploma (or recognized equivalent) required.
- Completed at least 48 hours of college credit; or obtain an associate’s (or higher) degree.
- Able to remain on feet for extended periods of time.
- Able to lift/carry up to 10 pounds.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Experience in an educational environment preferred.
- Must have satisfactory outcome of fingerprinting check prior to starting employment.
Benefits:
Our district participates in Teacher Retirement System (TRS) and Social Security. This is a full-time salaried non-exempt position. The daily rate is $152 ($19/hour). The position works 190 calendar days.
