Software Developer Intern - WINTER 2027

Help redefine customer support for the AI era.

Most companies are running support on ticketing systems built in 2007, with AI bolted on as an afterthought.

Botpress is the enterprise-grade AI agent platform for customer support — built the other way around.

The work ahead is ambitious. The opportunity is rare. We take a deliberate approach to growth: product-led, capital-efficient, and highly focused.

If you want to build the customer support platform for the AI era, we’re looking for top talent to join us.

As part of the Engineering team at Botpress, you’ll focus on solving real problems for our clients using code. You’ll work on high-impact projects, collaborate across functions, and help scale what works. If you’re proactive, resourceful, and excited about using technology (including occasional technical content) to make things happen in the fast-moving world of conversational AI, we’d love to hear from you.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain customer-impacting features using React & Node.js (Typescript)
• Develop and maintain integrations connecting Botpress to external systems using React & Node.js (Typescript)
• Write unit and end-to-end tests for mission-critical features
• Add tracking and monitoring to capture user journeys
• Contribute to product documentation

Requirements

• You have a relentless passion for learning, experimenting, and pushing the boundaries of what’s possible with new technologies.
• You bring a “can-do” mindset to every challenge and thrive in dynamic, fast-paced environments.
• Currently pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience in a Quebec-based learning institution.
• Interest in the AI agent and large language model (LLM) space.
• Experience with chatbots, AI, or related technologies is a plus.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Experience with TypeScript, Node.js, React

About Botpress

Botpress raised a $25 million Series B round in 2025. We’re building the enterprise-grade AI agent platform for customer support — not by adding AI to old infrastructure, but by building AI-first from day one.

We intentionally hire individuals who are eager, passionate, talented, and hungry to learn and grow throughout their career.

We operate fully in-office, with a culture that values both technical rigor and shared ambition.

You’ll be on a team that’s not just adapting to the AI revolution, but leading it. Joining our team means changing how millions of customers interact with the companies they do business with — and building the platform that defines the next era of customer support.
