With access to the latest tools, information and training, we’ll help you in advancing your skills and career. Here, you’ll be supported in progressing – whatever your ambitions.

About the role:

Boston Scientific was recognized as a Glassdoor Best Place to Work in 2026, ranking No. 15 on the Top 100 list, reflecting the culture our employees experience every day.

The Global Marketing Director, Carotid Therapies is responsible for leading the global marketing strategy, commercial growth, and portfolio direction for Boston Scientific’s Carotid Therapies franchise, including TCAR therapy and carotid stenting. This leader oversees upstream and downstream marketing, spanning commercial strategy, market development, global expansion, portfolio strategy, and competitive positioning.

Carotid Therapies is the largest and fastest-growing franchise within Vascular Therapies and one of the organization’s most significant growth opportunities. Key priorities include accelerating U.S. TCAR adoption, strengthening competitive leadership, expanding TCAR into international markets, and shaping the future carotid portfolio.

This is a highly visible leadership role requiring the ability to balance long-term strategy with near-term business performance. Success requires strong business acumen, commercial instincts, and the ability to develop talent, navigate ambiguity, and influence across a complex global organization. The ideal leader brings experience with technically complex, physician-driven interventional therapies and builds credibility with U.S. vascular surgeons and other key clinical stakeholders.

Work model, sponsorship, relocation:

At Boston Scientific, we value collaboration and synergy. This is an on-site position requiring employees to work at our Arbor Lakes facility in Maple Grove, Minnesota, office four to five days per week. Boston Scientific will not offer sponsorship or take over sponsorship of an employment visa for this position at this time. Relocation assistance may be available for this position.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Lead all aspects of Global Carotid Therapies Marketing, overseeing upstream and downstream marketing and serving as a key member of the cross-functional franchise leadership team. Establish and lead integrated global upstream and downstream strategies, aligning portfolio direction, clinical and commercial priorities, and regional execution across markets.
  • Set the long-term vision and strategic direction for the carotid franchise, translating market dynamics, customer insights, clinical evidence, and competitive trends into clear growth and portfolio strategies.
  • Develop and execute integrated global commercial plans, aligning long-range strategy with annual operating priorities to drive revenue growth, profitability, investment decisions, and marketing performance.
  • Drive U.S. TCAR growth and market development, partnering with commercial leadership to accelerate therapy adoption, address barriers to growth, strengthen physician engagement, and reinforce TCAR's differentiated position.
  • Lead global TCAR expansion strategy, prioritizing markets and aligning regional and cross-functional partners on business cases, regulatory, reimbursement, clinical, operational, and commercial requirements to enable successful market entry and sustainable growth.
  • Shape the future carotid portfolio, leading upstream strategy, product lifecycle management, and portfolio planning. Partner with R&D and cross-functional teams to translate unmet clinical needs and market opportunities into product development and investment priorities.
  • Anticipate and respond to competitive and market dynamics, developing proactive strategies to protect market leadership, strengthen differentiation, and identify new growth opportunities.
  • Champion the voice of the customer and business, building strong relationships with physicians and key opinion leaders and translating insights into commercial strategies, product requirements, and portfolio decisions. Develop and sustain trusted relationships with U.S. vascular surgeons, including influential physician leaders, to inform therapy adoption, clinical strategy, and portfolio priorities.
  • Build, lead and develop a high-performing global marketing team, setting clear priorities and accountabilities, coaching and developing talent, and fostering a culture of ownership, collaboration, inclusion, and continuous improvement. Build organizational capability across clinical, upstream, and downstream marketing; empower leaders with clear decision rights, accountability, and development plans.
  • Lead effectively across a highly matrixed global organization, partnering with Sales, R&D, Clinical, Medical Affairs, Regulatory, Quality, Operations, Finance, HEMA, and regional teams to align priorities, resolve challenges, and drive execution. Build productive partnerships across global functions and geographies, incorporating regional market insights into strategy and aligning stakeholders on decisions, ownership, and execution.
  • Drive strategic decision-making and organizational alignment, balancing near-term performance with long-term opportunities, making thoughtful resource and investment trade-offs, and serving as a trusted advisor to senior leadership on franchise performance, risks, and strategic priorities.

Required qualifications:
