Short Summary:
Join Blueprint as a Jr. Data Center Operations & Systems Technician, where you will perform hands-on installation, cabling, hardware maintenance, system checks, and deployment support within a live data center environment.
Responsibilities:
- Install, rack, stack, cable, label, and validate servers, network devices, and storage systems.
- Perform documented hardware repairs, component replacements, and equipment deployments.
- Complete daily system checks and preventive maintenance; escalate issues as needed.
- Troubleshoot common hardware, imaging, connectivity, and configuration issues.
- Support server imaging and deployment using approved environments.
- Assist with basic device and network configuration.
- Update tickets, maintenance histories, and project trackers accurately.
- Verify equipment identity and status during various activities.
- Follow access controls, change procedures, and safety practices.
- Communicate task status and safety concerns promptly.
- Maintain an orderly work area and participate in operational improvements.
Requirement:
- 1+ year of hands-on experience in data center operations or a comparable technical environment.
- Working knowledge of server components, network devices, and structured cabling.
- Foundational understanding of TCP/IP, DHCP, DNS, and VLANs.
- Ability to follow detailed technical procedures and maintain accurate documentation.
- Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to work onsite and meet physical and scheduling requirements.
