About the Role
Reporting directly to the Finance BP, this role takes full ownership of day-to-day accounting operations, financial controls, and multi-entity general ledger management. You will drive accurate month-end and year-end closes, lead statutory audits, and collaborate cross-functionally to deliver variance analysis, cash flow planning, and tax support.
What You Will Be Responsible For
- Own month-end and year-end closing deliverables in line with Group reporting timelines.
- Prepare full set of accounts for multiple entities. Maintain and update general ledger accounts, oversee the daily accounting operations of the business, including revenue, expenses, and cost allocations.
- Prepare and review accounting entries, bank reconciliations, and month-end schedules.
- Ensure accurate and timely month-end and year-end close processes.
- Provide support for year-end group audit processes
- Own fixed asset counting, verification, and reconciliation.
- Support on capitalisation of asset in construction, asset additions, disposals
- Tidy up purchase contract and communicate with operation site manager
- Responsible for local statutory audit, ensure accuracy and integrity of financial data and provide support during external audit including preparation of financial statement for single entity.
- Perform Intercompany cross charge
- Review invoices, contracts, payment requests, and supporting documents to ensure accuracy and compliance with company policies.
- Own the preparation of monthly management reporting packs, operational cost analysis, and variance explanations.
- Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial modelling by preparing data, schedules, and analysis as required.
- Support cash flow planning and assist with bi-weekly funding requirement reviews.
- Liaise with banks, auditors, tax authorities, and internal stakeholders on routine accounting, reporting, treasury, and tax matters.
- Coordinate with the Group Tax team by providing required documents and supporting communication with tax authorities when needed.
- Work closely with finance, operations, procurement, and business teams to ensure accurate accounting records, timely reporting, and proper follow-up of accounting matters.
- Identify accounting, reporting, or control issues and escalate significant matters to the Finance BP.
How You Will Stand Out
- Minimum 5 years of experience in Auditing or Accounting
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- CA/CPA certification or progress toward certification is a strong plus.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with excellent attention to detail.
- Fluent in Norwegian and English, both written and spoken.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, month-end closing, reconciliations, accruals, prepayments, and fixed asset accounting.
- Proficiency in accounting standards (US GAAP. IFRS)
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, formulas, reconciliations, and financial analysis.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to work with finance and non-finance stakeholders.
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
- Preferably at least 5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment or Public Accounting firm
- Experience with ERP or accounting systems is preferred.
- Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and problem-solving skills.
- Proactive, hands-on, accountable, and willing to improve processes.
- Ability to work under pressure to meet tight deadline
- Willingness to adapt to new technologies and processes
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced and international business environment.
