Senior Manager, Business Analytics & Insights

The Senior Business Analytics & Insights Manager is solely accountable for the generation, integrity, and delivery of all commercial, customer, and performance insights in Spain & Portugal. Showing true ownership, the position holder leads below activities and proactively manages involved stakeholders.

The role ensures that all strategic and operational decisions are grounded in robust data, analytics, and evidence-based recommendations, while not owning execution, strategy definition, or capability deployment.

Essential Functions of the job:

Insights & Analytics Ownership

• Oversees, drives and delivers all data, analytics, and insights across commercial, medical, and market access domains in Spain & Portugal
• Defines and controls all analytical frameworks (segmentation, targeting, performance measurement)
• Translates data into clear, decision-ready recommendations for leadership including dashboards
• Provide insights to inform marketing strategies for upcoming launches in the haemato-oncology market based on market insights

Business Planning

• Contribute proactive analytical support to Annual Operating Plan (AOP) and Long-Range Planning (LRP) processes
• Support forecasting, business planning, and resource allocation exercises through data modeling and scenario analysis

Performance & SFE Analytics

• Leads and proactively suggests improvements for performance tracking, KPI frameworks, and dashboards
• Leads and proactively suggests improvements for analytical evaluation of field force effectiveness
• Provides optimization recommendations for execution and resource allocation

Sales Incentive Analytics:

• Drives and is accountable for analytical validation and performance assessment of incentive plans
• Provides recommendations on effectiveness, fairness, and ROI
• Collaborating with Global Business Intelligence on plan administration to ensure appropriate documentation for sales incentive planning processes
• Partner with local teams to provide analytical expertise and direct support on field force sizing and territory design.

Launch & Brand Support:

• Provides analytical inputs for brand planning and launch strategy in all 3M teams
• Contribute to cross-functional creation of national brand plan and national tactics in alignment with international brand plan based on an analytic strategy

Commercial Effectiveness

• Work with cross-functional colleagues to develop and roll out SFE tools, develop dashboards and partner on deployment of training to enhance field team productivity.
• Analyse customer engagement strategy efficiencies (HCO/HCP reach, impact on performance, alignment with expectations/industry benchmark) to identify critical success factors, propose recommendations to optimize field execution
• Create frameworks for continuous improvement in commercial execution, including benchmarking and best-practice sharing across affiliates.

Qualifications:

• Min 7 years’ work experience in a Commercial/Marketing support role in the pharmaceutical/biotechnology industries, preferred haemato-oncology
• 7 years of experience in the pharmaceutical / healthcare sector or biotech
• Commercial Excellence, Field force effectiveness Field Sales / Field Medical / Field Management experience are a plus
• Pragmatic, yet creative and innovative, High social competence and capacity for teamwork
• Able to combine strategic thinking with the ability to execute to achieve operational objectives
• Excels in a fast-paced, results-driven, highly accountable environment, often with a high degree of ambiguity
• A connector, building relationships and partnering across the organization (geographies, functions and levels) to achieve the company goals
• Curiosity, problem solving skills, business acumen, industry knowledge and project management skills
• Attention to detail and technical data analytics / quantitative skills an advantage
• Biotech or pharmaceutical marketplace launch experience in solid tumor oncology
• Fluent in English; other languages advantageous.

Education Required: 

• Education: University undergraduate degree in science or business required. MBA or advanced degree in Business Analytics, Data Science, Statistics, Economics desirable

Salary Range Spain: 78,300.00 EUR - 97,900.00 EUR
