Ecommerce Manager (Trading and Merchandising)

The Ecommerce team owns the digital storefront across web and app. We work across three main pillars: Trading, Content and Optimisation. We're a small team that moves fast, tests everything and uses AI tooling as standard.
You will be working closely with the Director of Ecommerce to make the commercial calls on our site, i.e how the range is merchandised, increasing basket sizes and influencing promotional strategy. You'll turn weekly trade data into clear insights and decisions and make the case for them across the business. Membership conversion is our #1 commercial priority, and this role is central to it.
Merchandising and site:

• Set the on-site merchandising strategy: what features where and when, across homepage, collections and landing pages.
• Own catalogue structure, accuracy and health.
• Work with the Optimisation team to test merchandising and pricing ideas before rolling them out.

Analysis and insight:

• Lead the weekly trade review: what happened, why, and what we do next.
• Build business cases and scenario models for new bundles, pricing and site changes.

Leadership:

• Manage and develop the Ecommerce Executive.
• Use AI tools to speed up analysis and routine work, and help the team do the same.

How we measure success:
Revenue, AOV, revenue per session (RPS) and first purchase to membership conversion.

• Highly experienced in ecommerce trading or merchandising, ideally in a DTC, beauty or subscription brand.
• Strong commercial judgement: you can build a bundle or pricing case and defend it with numbers.
• Confident with data: Shopify analytics, GA4 or a BI tool , and Excel/Sheets modelling. Lightdash or Mixpanel experience would be a bonus.
• AI fluency: you use AI tools for trade analysis, scenario planning and speeding up routine work.
• Clear communicator who can influence teams you don't control.
• Experience managing or mentoring a junior team member.

Nice to have: Shopify Plus experience; A/B testing (Wingify/ABTasty would be a bonus); a membership or loyalty model.
