Role Overview:
The Reporting and Dashboarding Specialist supports the mission by designing, developing, and maintaining intuitive, accurate, and visually compelling reports and dashboards. This role leverages modern analytics technologies, including AI-assisted insights, Microsoft Excel, ServiceNow reporting, and other enterprise tools to deliver decision-quality information that strengthens operational readiness, medical system performance, and mission execution. As a Reporting and Dashboarding Specialist with the DHA Global Service Center, you will be responsible for the development and delivery of reports, data analysis, and dashboarding assignments. You will work interactively with a broader contact center support team providing support to MHS customers globally.
Responsibilities:
- Develop, optimize, and maintain dashboards and reports that provide actionable insights across the JOMIS mission environment, including operational, technical, and readiness-related data.
- Utilize AI/ML capabilities, automation tools, and data transformation techniques to streamline reporting workflows and improve data accuracy and timeliness.
- Build scalable reporting solutions in Excel, ServiceNow, and other approved analytic platforms, ensuring consistency, usability, and alignment with stakeholder needs.
- Translate complex data sets into intuitive visualizations that support leadership decision-making, operational monitoring, and performance analysis.
- Partner with cross-functional teams, including operational medicine SMEs, program managers, and system owners, to gather requirements, validate data, and ensure outputs meet mission objectives.
- Ensure data integrity, compliance, and security standards are applied across all reporting activities within the JOMIS operational environment.
- Identify opportunities to automate manual reporting processes, reduce data latency, and introduce predictive or trend-based analytics where feasible.
- Provide training, documentation, and user support for dashboards and reporting tools to enhance adoption and ensure stakeholders can confidently leverage analytic products.
Skills:
- Experience creating operational dashboards and performance reports in environments with complex workflows or multi-source data.
- Proficiency in ServiceNow reporting, dashboards, and data extraction.
- Security+ Certification
- Advanced Excel skills (e.g., Power Query, PivotTables, advanced formulas, macros/VBA a plus).
- Familiarity with AI/ML-enabled analytics tools (Copilot, Power BI AI features, ServiceNow Predictive Intelligence, or comparable platforms).
- Strong ability to communicate analytic results clearly to non-technical stakeholders.
- Experience working within structured, policy-driven environments (DoD, federal health, or similar is a plus).
- Understanding of data governance, security practices, and mission-driven reporting principles.
- Strong documentation skills and an eye for intuitive user experience design.
Required Minimum Qualifications:
- Must be a US Citizen
- Public Trust Clearance / or ability to obtain
- Primary work locations in San Antonio, TX, and Falls Church, VA.
- 6+ years enterprise coordinating advanced technical project schedules
- Bachelor's degree in an IT or math related field/or equivalent experience
- Security+ Certification required
- ITIL4/5 Foundations Certification (preferred)
- Experience working within Military Health and Operational Medicine environments (preferred)
- Familiarity with ServiceNow (MHSSHD) ITSM ticketing system (preferred)
In addition, U.S Citizenship is required. Select applicants will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information and be able to obtain a government-granted security clearance. Individuals may also be subject to a background investigation including, but not limited to criminal history, employment and education verification, drug testing, and creditworthiness.
The compensation range for this position is $65,000 - $75,000. Compensation decisions depend on a wide range of factors, including but not limited to location, skill sets, experience and training, security clearances, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs.
