Cameo Enterprise Architect – MBSE & DoDAF
BCG Fed Contractor Posting
Title: Cameo Enterprise Architect – MBSE & DoDAF
Function: Architecture & Service Excellence (A&SE), Defense Healthcare Management Systems (PEO DHMS)
Location: Remote, with the ability to attend customer meetings in Rosslyn, Virginia, as needed
Reports to: Chief Enterprise Architect
POSITION SUMMARY:
BCG Federal is seeking a hands-on Cameo Enterprise Architect to support PEO DHMS through Workforce 3.0 within Architecture & Service Excellence (A&SE). The primary responsibility is to build, maintain, and govern enterprise architecture and MBSE models in Cameo Enterprise Architecture / CATIA Magic that provide a traceable source of truth for architecture analysis, integration, modernization, and decision support.
The role also performs enterprise architecture and systems-engineering work across business, application, service, data, infrastructure, integration, technology, and security domains. Support may span ESS Next and shared development/integration/test services, MHS GENESIS / DHMSM, EIDS and data integration, operational medicine / MHS GENESIS-Theater, and other PEO DHMS PMOs as needed. The architect will translate program, engineering, cybersecurity, acquisition, and operational inputs into current-state, transition, and target architectures, risks, roadmaps, and decision products.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Build and maintain authoritative enterprise architecture and MBSE models in Cameo Enterprise Architecture / CATIA Magic, applying DoDAF, UAF, SysML, UML, BPMN, or other approved methods appropriate to the architecture problem.
- Establish and maintain Cameo modeling conventions, repository/package structures, profiles and stereotypes, naming standards, reusable libraries, templates, traceability methods, validation rules, quality checks, baselines, versioning, and controlled change; support Teamwork Cloud / Cameo collaboration capabilities where used.
- Create model-based capability, operational, system, service, data/information, interface, process, sequence, dependency, security, and requirements-traceability views; use diagrams, tables, matrices, queries, and reports to expose gaps, conflicts, dependencies, and incomplete relationships.
- Reconcile and migrate architecture information from Visio, PowerPoint, spreadsheets, Systems Architect, requirements repositories, interface documents, and other legacy artifacts into Cameo; generate model-driven outputs for engineering, acquisition, cybersecurity, program, and leadership audiences and coach contributors on model quality and use.
- Develop and maintain current-state, transition, and target architectures across enterprise domains, with emphasis on system-of-systems interoperability, cross-PMO dependencies, shared services, and A&SE priorities such as ESS Next and enterprise development/integration/test environments.
- Analyze APIs, interfaces, data exchanges, information flows, cloud and infrastructure dependencies, cybersecurity boundaries, DevSecOps pipelines, test environments, and operational constraints; review requirements, use cases, RFP/PWS materials, interface-control documents, technical designs, standards, service catalogs, and test artifacts for architecture impacts and alignment.
- Conduct technical research, alternatives analyses, trade studies, impact assessments, and architecture risk analysis; develop recommendations, transition roadmaps, architecture decision records, standards, governance artifacts, and mitigation plans tied to mission and business outcomes.
- Facilitate architecture working sessions, model reviews, and technical decision forums; organize incomplete or conflicting inputs into clear architecture options, decisions, actions, and concise briefings for Government, technical, and leadership stakeholders.
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
- Minimum of five years of enterprise architecture, solution/system architecture, systems engineering, MBSE, or digital-engineering experience in a complex technology environment, including recent hands-on experience developing and maintaining models in Cameo Enterprise Architecture / CATIA Magic.
- Demonstrated Cameo experience beyond static diagramming, including repository/model structure, traceability, model quality and validation, reusable patterns or libraries, matrices/tables/queries/reports, and collaborative model management; Teamwork Cloud / Cameo Collaborator experience is strongly preferred.
- Proficiency with DoDAF 2.02, UAF, SysML, and the development of capability, operational, system, service, data, interface, sequence, process, dependency, and requirements-traceability models. Familiarity with evolving UAF and SysML standards is a plus.
- Demonstrated ability to decompose complex systems and model structure, behavior, interfaces, information/data, requirements, dependencies, constraints, and end-to-end mission or business threads at multiple levels of abstraction.
- Working knowledge of enterprise and hybrid-cloud environments, APIs and integration, data architecture, cybersecurity/RMF and Zero Trust concepts, DevSecOps/CI-CD, development and test environments, and software/service lifecycle considerations.
- Experience translating requirements, acquisition materials, RFPs/PWSs, interface-control documents, technical designs, standards, and test materials into actionable architecture products, technical analyses, and decision support.
- Direct experience supporting DHA, PEO DHMS/DHMS, Workforce 3.0, Architecture & Service Excellence, the Military Health System, or a closely related DoD health-IT environment is strongly preferred. Relevant experience may include ESS/ESS Next, MHS GENESIS/DHMSM, JOMIS, EIDS, operational medicine, FEHRM, or federal health-data interoperability.
- Other DoD or federal architecture experience is highly valued. Commercial experience is also relevant when it comes from complex, regulated, multi-stakeholder or system-of-systems environments and the candidate can clearly demonstrate how it transfers to Government interoperability, cybersecurity, acquisition, and governance needs.
- Bachelor's degree in Systems Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field is preferred; equivalent directly relevant experience will be considered. Strong technical writing, modeling, briefing, and facilitation skills are required; INCOSE, OCSMP, TOGAF, or comparable credentials are a plus.
- U.S. citizenship and ability to obtain and maintain a Common Access Card (CAC), DHA suitability, and required system and facility access.
