Short Summary:
A Fabricator I for Bastian Automation will be responsible for general saw cutting and fabrication for material equipment projects, with an emphasis on saw cutting and layout work, assembly, and paint prep.
Responsibilities:
- Build high-quality fabricated parts from blueprints with low rejection rate
- Work from sketches/drawings to produce parts from sheet metal, plate, and bar stock
- Keep work space organized
- Show mutual respect for coworkers
- Maintain a positive attitude and show up on time
- Follow safety protocols per JSA (Job Safety Analysis)
Requirement:
- 1-2 years fabrication experience preferred
- Ability to saw cut, lay out, assemble, perform paint prep, and lift up to 50 lbs
- General knowledge of fabrication equipment including horizontal saws, lathes, mills, and drill presses
