Account Executive - MSI
Why MSI? We thrive on solving challenges.
As a leading MGA, MSI combines deep underwriting expertise with insurer and reinsurer risk capacity to create specialized insurance solutions that empower distribution partners to meet customers’ unique needs.
We have a passion for crafting solutions for the important risks facing individuals and businesses. We offer an expanding suite of products – from fully-digital embedded renters coverage to high-value homeowners insurance to sophisticated commercial coverages, such as cyber liability and habitational property – delivered through agents, brokers, wholesalers and other brand partners.
Our partners and customers count on us to deliver exceptional service through a dedicated team that makes rapid resolutions a priority. We simplify the insurance experience through our advanced technology platform that supports every phase of the policy lifecycle.
Bring on your challenges and let us show you how we build insurance better.
The Account Executive owns the health, performance, and growth trajectory of our most important partner relationships. This is a senior client-facing role that sits at the center of how MSI delivers on its commitments: you make sure our programs perform the way they were sold, that partners see the value they were promised, and that nothing falls through the cracks between sale and renewal.
Where a traditional CSM manages the day-to-day relationship, you own the outcomes. When adoption stalls, when a program underperforms plan, when a partner wants to restructure how a program runs, you are the person who diagnoses the problem, builds the plan, mobilizes the right internal resources, and communicates clearly to both sides.
This role is built for someone who can sit in a room with a partner's executive team in the morning, their operations leaders in the afternoon, and their partnerships team in the evening, and be credible in every conversation.
What You Will Do
Own strategic partner relationships end to end
- Serve as the primary owner for a portfolio of PMS platforms, proptech partners, and large property management companies
- Lead new partner onboarding and implementation from kickoff through full production, ensuring continuity and momentum through every phase of the partner lifecycle
- Run recurring business and operational reviews that keep partners informed on program performance, open items, and growth opportunities
Drive program performance and adoption
- Own adoption, attachment, and enrollment performance across your portfolio, and treat gaps to plan as your problem to solve
- Identify what is suppressing adoption, whether operational, process, training, or technical, quantify the revenue impact, and drive it to resolution
- Support product launches, carrier changes, and master policy transitions by owning the partner-facing rollout plan and keeping stakeholders aligned through the change
Keep programs running smoothly
- Oversee the operational health of each program: enrollment flows, policy tracking, billing accuracy, and compliance data
- Manage day-to-day operations across PMS integrations (Entrata, Yardi, RealPage, AppFolio, Rent Manager, Buildium, Rentvine, and others), coordinating internal teams and partner contacts to resolve issues quickly
- Own data quality outcomes end to end, including the enrollment, unit mapping, and resident matching issues that affect compliance tracking and program accuracy
Be the bridge between partners and MSI
- Translate partner business needs into clear requirements for Product, Engineering, and Operations, and translate internal constraints and timelines back into plain-language answers for partners
- Maintain program documentation, runbooks, and partner-facing guides so knowledge lives in the account, not in your head
- Partner with Sales and Distribution on pre-sale scoping so we commit to things we can actually deliver
Own escalations and incident communication
- Serve as the escalation point for partner-impacting issues across your accounts
- Run incident communication: what happened, who is affected, when it will be resolved, and what we are doing to prevent recurrence
What You Bring
Required
- 5+ years in a senior client-facing role: account management, client success leadership, implementation, or partner management at a software, insurtech, or insurance distribution company
- Track record of owning enterprise accounts and driving measurable business outcomes: adoption, retention, revenue growth, or program performance
- Strong operational instincts; you can map a broken process, find the root cause, and drive a fix across multiple teams without formal authority
- Enough technical fluency to be credible: you can follow a conversation about APIs, file exchanges, and data feeds, ask the right questions, and know when to bring in engineering
- Strong written communication; you can document a complex issue so a non-technical executive understands it in one read
- Ability to manage multiple enterprise accounts simultaneously and keep commitments visible and on schedule
Strongly preferred
- Experience in multifamily proptech, embedded insurance, or the PMS ecosystem (Entrata, Yardi, RealPage, AppFolio, or similar)
- Familiarity with renters insurance program mechanics: HO4, TLL, master policy structures, force-placed coverage, and compliance tracking workflows
- Comfort pulling and validating your own data to answer performance questions
- P&C license or willingness to obtain one within 90 days
How Success Is Measured
- Adoption and attachment growth across your portfolio
- Time to full production for new partner implementations
- Retention and expansion of assigned partner relationships
- Speed and quality of issue resolution, measured by partner-reported satisfaction
- Reduction in escalations reaching leadership that could have been resolved at the account level
Why This Role Matters
MSI's growth model is embedded distribution through PMS platforms and large operators. Programs only grow when they run well: enrollments flow, policies track, partners trust the numbers. This role is the guarantee behind the promise our sales team makes, and the reason partners expand instead of churn.
