Together with our partners, we’re helping customers break free from the restrictive, overpriced legacy solutions that hold them back, and blaze forward with the full power of the open cloud in their hands.

Founded in 2007, we scaled the business with less than $3 million in outside funding until 2021, when we did a traditional IPO on the Nasdaq stock exchange. Today, Backblaze generates over $136M ARR and is the leading specialized storage cloud, managing over three billion gigabytes of data storage for 500K+ customers in 175+ countries, including businesses, developers, IT professionals, and individuals. Our simple, automatic, and reliable Computer Backup product helped lay the foundation for this growth and continues to protect customer data around the world.

But while there is a lot to celebrate in our past, there is almost as much opportunity ahead of us. We’re seeking a Product Manager, Computer Backup to join our team!

• Translate insights and complex problems into clear product requirements, PRDs, and measurable success criteria
• Make difficult product tradeoff decisions using data-driven analysis, balancing user priorities and technical constraints
• Define, track, and analyze key product metrics to inform decisions, iterate based on real-world performance and feedback, and drive continuous improvement
• Partner with Engineering, Design, and QA to ship high-quality features on schedule
• Collaborate with Marketing, Sales, and Support to ensure successful product launches and adoption

Right Fit

• Ability to communicate clearly at different levels, including engaging with customers and driving alignment with senior stakeholders
• Comfort working in ambiguity and making data-informed decisions with imperfect information
• Strong analytical and prioritization skills, with the ability to separate must-haves from nice-to-haves
• Proven success in owning product roadmaps, defining MVPs, and driving the full product lifecycle
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
• Strong understanding of product prioritization frameworks and experience building products that deliver measurable value to customers
• Experience working in agile development environments and with tools such as Jira
