Senior Data Center Engineer

We are looking for an experienced Senior Data Center Engineer to support enterprise Data Center infrastructure and critical business services. The role focuses on administration, maintenance, troubleshooting, modernization, and operational support of virtualization, compute, storage, backup, and Windows Server platforms.

Location: Warsaw (Duchnice) or Gdańsk, Poland

Work Model: hybrid / 2 days a week in the office and 3 days remotely

Travel: Occasional business travel between the Warsaw (Duchnice) and Gdańsk locations may be required, depending on current business needs.

Core skills you’ll bring

• Minimum 7 years of experience in IT Infrastructure, Systems Engineering, or Data Center Operations.

• Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience supporting enterprise Data Center environments.

• Strong experience with VMware vSphere administration, troubleshooting, lifecycle management, patching, upgrades, and migrations.

• Practical experience managing Dell enterprise infrastructure solutions, including (Dell PowerEdge Server, Dell Storage Platform, Dell PowerScal, Dell Data Domai, Dell Avamar, Veeam Backup & Replication)

• Strong understanding of server, virtualization, storage, and backup technologies.

• Experience with Windows Server administration and infrastructure services.

• Good understanding of SAN and NAS storage architectures.

• Hands-on experience with enterprise backup and recovery operations.

• Good knowledge of PowerShell scripting and automation.

• Experience with infrastructure monitoring platforms such as Zabbix.

• Experience with security patching, vulnerability remediation, and infrastructure hardening.

• Knowledge of ITIL processes, including Incident, Problem, and Change Management.

• Experience working with ServiceNow or similar ITSM platforms.

• Very good communication skills in English and Polish.

• Ability to work independently and effectively within a team environment.

• Experience with Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktops.

• Experience with Microsoft Hyper-V.

• Experience with Microsoft Azure or Azure Local (Azure Stack HCI).

• Experience with Dell OpenManage Enterprise and iDRAC administration.

• Experience with Disaster Recovery testing and Business Continuity activities.

• Relevant industry certifications, such as (VMware Certified Professional (VCP), Dell Technologies Proven Professional, Microsoft Certifications, Veeam Certifications)

The impact you'll create

• Administer, maintain, and support enterprise Data Center infrastructure.

• Manage and troubleshoot VMware vSphere environments, including ESXi hosts, vCenter, clustering, lifecycle management, patching, upgrades, and migrations.

• Operate and support Dell infrastructure platforms, including servers, storage, and data protection solutions.

• Monitor infrastructure performance, availability, capacity, and health using enterprise monitoring platforms such as Zabbix.

• Perform incident troubleshooting, root cause analysis (RCA), and implement corrective and preventive actions.

• Manage backup, recovery, and disaster recovery processes, including recovery validation and testing.

• Implement software, firmware, operating system, and security updates across infrastructure components.

• Support Windows Server environments and core infrastructure services.

• Automate operational tasks and reporting using PowerShell.

• Maintain technical documentation, operational procedures, and technical standards.

• Participate in infrastructure modernization, migration, and capacity planning initiatives.

• Collaborate with internal teams, external vendors, and technology partners.

• Support security, compliance, and audit activities.

• Ensure adherence to security policies, operational standards, and regulatory requirements.
