In Argentina, within the Banking sector, we are actively seeking a Middle Java Backend Developer to strengthen our team dedicated to creating scalable, high-performance microservices and modernizing digital platform solutions.

In your role, you'll become a vital member of a team of skilled professionals focused on evolving core banking architecture and delivering high-value, resilient digital services. Your primary responsibility will involve designing, developing, and maintaining microservices-based applications while ensuring high standards of code quality and scalability. This is you

• +2 years of proven experience in Java Backend development (Java 8, Java 21, or higher).

• Solid hands-on experience with Spring Boot (2.x / 3.x), Spring Web, Spring Data JPA, and Spring Security.

• Strong knowledge of Microservices Architecture and REST API design/implementation.

• Proficient with Git (GitFlow, branching strategies, hotfixes) and build tools like Maven.

• Practical experience writing unit tests using JUnit and Mockito.

• Experience working with both relational and non-relational databases.

Nice-to-have skills:

• Event-driven architecture and messaging technologies (Apache Kafka, IBM MQ).

• Integrations with SOAP protocols and API documentation (OpenAPI / Swagger).

• Containerization and orchestration tools (Docker, Kubernetes, OpenShift).

• Observability and monitoring platforms (Grafana, Prometheus, ELK, Loki, AppDynamics).

• Hands-on experience with CI/CD practices (Jenkins, GitHub Actions) and Cloud environments.

• Practical usage of AI-assisted tools (GitHub Copilot, Cursor, ChatGPT, Gemini, Claude) and Prompt Engineering to enhance productivity and code quality.

This is your role

• Analyze requirements and design scalable backend solutions aligned with business needs and architectural guidelines.

• Develop, maintain, and evolve microservices-based applications and RESTful APIs.

• Write clean, maintainable code applying SOLID principles, Clean Code practices, and design patterns.

• Ensure software quality through unit testing, active participation in code reviews, and performance optimization.

• Identify, analyze, and resolve incidents in production environments.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams across the full software development lifecycle (analysis, design, development, testing, deployment, and support).
