This is an opportunity for an experienced engineer to help build and develop a new testing environment, with the potential to take on team leadership responsibilities as the function grows.
Job Responsibilities:
- Take ownership of system-level testing and validation activities across AutoStore products, including robots, ports, software, firmware, and integrated hardware systems.
- Develop and coordinate test strategies and plans, defining acceptance criteria, following up on testing activities, and ensuring quality standards and project milestones are met.
- Investigate test failures and product issues, performing root cause analysis, assessing risks, and collaborating with engineering teams to identify solutions.
- Improve testing processes, methodologies, and automation, identifying opportunities to increase efficiency, test coverage, and consistency.
- Provide technical guidance within cross-functional teams, sharing expertise, supporting technical decisions, and coordinating testing activities across disciplines.
- Contribute to the development of our new test facility in Oslo, supporting the planning of test equipment, infrastructure, processes, and ways of working in collaboration with the Nedre Vats team.
Job Requirements:
- 5+ years of experience in testing, validation, or related engineering roles, ideally involving complex systems combining hardware, software, and firmware.
- Relevant technical education in Automation, Robotics, Electronics, Computer Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
- Experience with test strategies, planning, execution, and defect management, including root cause analysis, test automation, and continuous improvement.
- Experience coordinating technical activities across engineering disciplines, taking ownership of testing deliverables and providing guidance to other engineers.
- Experience developing and improving testing processes, tools, and methodologies. Familiarity with Jira, Xray, Confluence, or similar platforms is an advantage.
- Analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to collaborate and communicate in Norwegian and English. ISTQB certification is an advantage, as is experience mentoring engineers or helping develop a new team or function.
We offer:
- A Collaborative and Inclusive Culture where we celebrate and value everyone’s contributions, encouraging diverse perspectives in decision-making.
- Work-Life Balance & Well-being: We offer 1 hour per week of paid exercise, health insurance, and a generous pension plan, prioritizing your mental and physical well-being.
- A Creative and Safe Workplace by joining a company experiencing rapid growth, with the stability of being Norway’s first unicorn listed on the Oslo Stock Exchange.
- International and Supportive Environment within a Norwegian multinational that values collaboration and innovation.
