We are looking for a Middle+ AI-First Automation QA Engineer to build the automated testing strategy and framework from scratch for a cross-platform product.
The product is built with Flutter for iOS, Android, and Web, with a PHP backend, REST APIs, and PostgreSQL. The automation framework has not yet been established, so you will have the opportunity to propose the testing approach, select appropriate tools, and define automation standards and best practices.
Responsibilities
Design and establish the test automation framework and QA automation process from scratch
Define the automation strategy, test architecture, coding standards, and best practices
Evaluate and select appropriate automation tools and technologies
Develop and maintain automated UI, E2E, API, and visual regression tests
Perform functional, integration, performance, and basic security testing
Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines
Analyze test failures, identify root causes, and support debugging
Track defects and maintain QA documentation in Jira and Confluence
Use AI tools to accelerate test design, automation development, maintenance, debugging, and test analysis
Requirements
3+ years of professional experience in QA Automation / Test Automation
Proven experience building or establishing automation frameworks from scratch
Strong hands-on experience with: API testing and automation, UI / E2E automation, SQL / database testing, performance testing, visual regression / pixel-perfect testing
Experience testing both mobile and web applications
Experience integrating automated tests into CI/CD pipelines
Basic understanding of web and API security testing
Practical experience with AI-assisted development or testing tools
Experience with Jira and Confluence
Strong analytical, debugging, and problem-solving skills
English B2+
Ability to regularly overlap with Pacific Time until 11:00 AM PT
Preferred Testing Stack
Experience with the following tools is a strong plus, but not mandatory: Playwright, Patrol / Flutter Integration Test, k6, OWASP ZAP
Nice to Have
Experience testing applications built with Flutter
Experience with mobile automation for iOS and Android
Experience introducing QA automation processes into a project with little or no existing automation
