Senior Data Business Analyst

Title: Senior Data Business Analyst Location: Austin, TX

ASSYST is seeking an experienced Senior Data Business Analyst to support our client in Austin, TX.

This position is fully remote

Job Responsibilities:

• The Senior Business Analyst will perform advanced (senior-level) business analysis work related to implementing complex, emerging technology hardware and software projects to support the Mainframe Reports and Extract effort.
• Duties involve use of multiple methods in gathering, developing, and documenting requirements; the review, assessment, and development of business processes; the creation and validation of user acceptance testing; and research and special project support provided to users.
• This role will work under limited to minimal direction, with considerable latitude for the use of initiative and independent judgment.
• This position will be responsible for analysis and documentation in the implementation of multiple interrelated projects related to reports.
• The focus of the work is intended to be data-related, including data analysis, root cause analysis of data errors, data flow documentation, report developments, and data posting on the DIR Open Data Portal or on client’s website.
• Requires knowledge and background in Power BI, Snowflake and data publishing.
• Ensures that deliverables and materials are produced and maintained in accordance with established processes and procedures, are of consistent quality, and use accepted business analysis methodologies.
• May assign and/or supervise the work of others.

Required Experience:

• Strong interpersonal, collaborative, analytical, written/verbal/ presentation communication skills in English
• Experience in gathering requirements and creating reports
• Facilitating creation and analysis of business requirements and working with business area personnel to design technical solutions
• Participating in and providing guidance to business and in developing and completing user acceptance testing, training, and implementation-related activities
• Experience with Snowflake and Power BI

Preferred Experience:

• Experience in Oil and Gas industry
