Why work for us

Assembly Industries believes in creating a new generation of a passionate workforce in Pakistan by providing high-value opportunities that are life-changing. We strongly believe in a work-life balance and family-oriented approach to how we value the time & effort of our employees. The core of our ethos is around passion, trust & transparency. We offer the opportunity to collaborate with US-based clients in their growth phase. Working with us means direct engagement with top-tier CEOs, founders, and established businesses in the thriving US business ecosystem.

Client & Position Overview

Our client is a US-based mountaineer and polar explorer building a founder-led expedition company. His own expeditions include Denali and the South Pole, and he guided about 40 people up Kilimanjaro this year. Clients come mainly from India and the Indian diaspora in the US and Europe. He is often on a mountain with no email access, and the business must keep running when he is away. This role is his right hand on brand, social media, website and client operations. The founder sets the brand ethos and content strategy. You turn that strategy into consistent, high-quality execution and help shape it with ideas and feedback. This is not a generic social media role. We need a genuine storyteller with a real passion for mountains and the outdoors.

Key Responsibilities

1. Brand Management (top priority)

• Build and protect a founder-led brand, with the founder's visibility at its centre
• Grow brand presence in India to attract corporate sponsors for larger expeditions
• Run outreach to brand partners and sponsors using the founder's pitch and target list
• Support other visibility channels the founder prioritises, such as speaking engagements

2. Social Media

• Execute the founder's content strategy across platforms: planning, posting, community engagement and account management
• Turn 6–7 years of expedition photos and footage into engaging, story-led posts
• Write original, long-form captions and stories that hold attention, not generic or AI-sounding content
• Edit short-form video and graphics, using AI tools to work at volume
• Flag content gaps and suggest shoots and topics for upcoming expeditions or city visits
• Work with the founder's outdoor writer / storyteller once on board

3. Website

• Manage website content during and after the build
• Collect reviews and testimonials from past clients and keep the site current

4. Client Operations

• Respond to and follow up with leads and past clients
• Book discovery calls with the founder and move leads through to sign-up
• Keep the business running while the founder is on expedition and offline

Requirements

• Demonstrated passion for mountaineering, trekking or the outdoors
• Strong storytelling and writing skills in English, with a portfolio of original work
• 2+ years of brand or social media management experience, ideally with a personal or founder-led brand
• Hands-on with short-form video editing and graphic design, including AI-assisted tools
• Operations or client-facing experience: lead follow-up, scheduling, CRM hygiene
• Self-directed and reliable, able to run independently while the founder is unreachable
• Polished communication suited to US and international clients

Nice to Have

• Personal trekking or climbing experience
• Published writing in outdoor, travel or adventure outlets
• Experience with sponsorship or brand partnership outreach
• Familiarity with Indian and South Asian diaspora audiences
• Basic website CMS experience (e.g., WordPress, Webflow, Squarespace)
