ASRC Federal Technology Solutions, LLC is seeking a Technical Project Manager, Senior to support a new role on a new contract in Washington, DC. Work location: Hybrid/Primarily Onsite (Monday - Friday). This position requires occasional after-hours, weekend, and shiftwork to perform project management and team duties as needed in support of the DHS OIG mission. All after-hours work can be WFH (work from home). Must be willing and flexible to perform occasional travel to the customer’s off-site locations to perform any needed or direct project-related work. All travel is planned and pre-approved by ASRC and the customer. Travel is estimated to be 3%. Clearance: Secret. US Citizenship is required to successfully complete a DHS background investigation. Ideal Candidate: The ideal candidate will possess the following desired qualities and experience in addition to Project Management Professional project work: Our ideal candidate will be someone who has previously had direct experience in advanced desktop engineering and support, network administration, or system administration. A wiliness and availability to be more on-site at the customer’s location than WFH, ideally 4 days per week. 5 years minimum of non-PMP direct management experience (e.g., Program Manager or Deputy Program Manager) of highly technical personnel e.g., Tier III Engineers, System Administrators, Network Engineers, and Tier I, II, and III Helpdesk personnel, etc. Personal experience and job titles prior to PMP certification for one or more of the following: Network Engineer, System Administrator, System Engineer, Helpdesk Manager, etc. Experience performing expert level troubleshooting related to EUC (End User Computing) networks, systems, Windows, Zscaler, printers, laptop hardware and peripherals. Deep experience personally authoring and managing SOPs, KB articles, Runbooks, Tech and End User Guides. Technical prowess and aptitude to learn technologies, system(s), and administration where previous experience does not exist e.g., Ivanti Heat administration, ITSM Template creation and optimization, workflow optimization, etc. Professional written communication ability to convey technically complex concepts to those who do not have a deep understanding of the technology e.g., authoring end user major incident alerts during outages, project plan notices, guides, etc. ITIL certification and operational experience in an environment based on ITIL best practices. Ability to mentor, lead, and motivate team and project personnel in a positive manner to achieve goals. High on-line awareness and responsiveness to act as a management escalation for the customer, designated VIPs, and OCIO leadership during the hours of 6 AM to 8 PM, Monday through Friday. Position Responsibilities: The Senior Project Manager Leads and directs one or more projects and project teams engaged in the design, implementation and modification of IT projects that span across the customer’s organization. Leads and directs team account personnel reporting directly to the Program Manager and performs duties as assigned by the Program Manager. Prepares project execution plans and identifies appropriate technical and business resources needed for the team. Ensures projects are completed on schedule, within budget, and meet technical, quality, and scope requirements of the assignment. Keeps current on technology and advances in the field of IT, especially AI, as well as changes in the organization's business processes. Provides technical and analytical guidance to the project team(s). Interfaces with C-suite executives, leadership, stakeholders, and government-identified vendors to ensure requirements are met; provides issue resolutions and assesses risk and change management needs. Adheres to all IT governance policies and procedures. Requires a Bachelor’s degree and a minimum of 5 years of certified PMP experience in the field of Information Technology. Qualifications Minimum of five (5) years of experience as a Project Manager for a Federal Agency Bachelor’s degree, or higher, in an IT- or business-related field. US Citizenship is required to successfully complete a government issued background investigation and Secret clearance issuance. Project Management Professional (PMP) certification. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Expert knowledge of Microsoft Project and/or project management related software. Experience providing technical project briefs to senior executives. Experience implementing or working with Agile/Agile-Hybrid methodologies in the public sector.
