Senior Back-End Developer

About Us

Arpeely has been working deep in the web’s infrastructure while partnering with Fortune 50 companies. Over the years, we’ve built large-scale AI and real-time systems that handle billions of interactions daily. That experience gave us a front-row view of how the web really works: how people use it, where performance breaks, and where privacy and clarity often get lost.

Now we’re applying this knowledge to something new - a browser built from the ground up to make everyday online use simpler, more intuitive, and dare we say it - fun. This isn’t a side project or a concept; we’ve shipped a beta that’s growing by the hour and built on a foundation we know inside out.

We’re reimagining the browser to make the web feel lighter, clearer, and more personal, with AI woven naturally into the experience to enhance everyday browsing. From search to multitasking, everything is designed to feel natural, helpful, and even a little fun. The goal is simple: remove friction, surface what matters, and help people get things done online without feeling overwhelmed. It’s a product built for real users, not tech demos, and we’re scaling fast with a small, focused team that cares about UX and performance.

We’re hiring a Senior Backend Engineer to join the team and own the backend services behind the Ace browser. This role is about real ownership, strong engineering judgment, and building reliable systems that serve real users at scale.

What You’ll Do

• Own backend features end-to-end, from technical design to production monitoring.
• Design, build, and scale backend services and APIs, primarily in Python.
• Own core flows such as authentication, subscriptions, and the services behind our AI features.
• Keep production fast and reliable, working closely with product, AI, and data teams.
• Build AI-native: work with Cursor and Claude Code agents every day and help make our codebase agent-friendly.

• 5+ years of hands-on backend development, shipping production systems used by real users.
• Strong backend experience in a modern language (e.g., Python, Node.js, Go). Our backend is Python, and we’ll help you switch.
• Solid understanding of databases, API design, system architecture, and cloud environments.
• Experience running high-traffic systems: performance, monitoring, and production debugging.
• AI-native developer: Cursor and Claude Code are your main way of building every day, including delegating to agents, running them in parallel, and reviewing their output critically.
• B.Sc. in Computer Science or equivalent experience.

Advantages

• Python backend experience.
• Experience with GCP, Kubernetes, and Postgres.
• Experience building services around LLMs or AI agents.
