Short Summary:
As a Sr. Manager - Health, Safety & Environment - EMEA, you will play a pivotal role in crafting and accomplishing our ambitious HSE strategy, leading a proactive safety culture and driving impactful initiatives that align with our business objectives.
Responsibilities:
- Partner with senior leadership to define and complete a forward-looking HSE strategy aligned to business objectives.
- Champion a high-performance safety culture that prioritizes psychological safety, wellbeing, and proactive risk management.
- Act as a trusted advisor to executives and regional leaders on HSE risks, trends, and opportunities.
- Foster strong employee engagement through safety campaigns, communications, and recognition programs.
- Drive leadership accountability and capability in safety through coaching, mentoring, and performance frameworks.
- Ensure full compliance with all relevant HSE legislation, standards, and regulatory requirements across EMEA.
- Establish and maintain robust governance frameworks, policies, and standards to ensure consistency and adherence to guidelines.
- Lead enterprise-wide risk identification, assessment, and mitigation strategies, including critical risk management.
- Coordinate internal and external audit programs, ensuring timely closure of actions and continuous improvement.
- Drive maturity of HSE systems through data-led insights, benchmarking, and adoption of global guidelines.
- Analyze trends to identify emerging risks and opportunities, advising strategic decision-making.
- Report performance to senior leadership and key collaborators, driving transparency and accountability.
Requirement:
- 8+ years of progressive experience in HSE leadership roles within large, sophisticated, matrix organizations.
- Demonstrated experience operating across EMEA region with solid understanding of local legislation and regulatory frameworks.
- Proven track record to influence and engage senior collaborators and drive cultural transformation.
- Expertise in risk management, incident investigation methodologies, and HSE management systems.
- Strong commercial competence with the ability to align safety outcomes to business performance.
- Sophisticated analytical skills with experience bringing to bear data to drive insights and decision-making.
- Outstanding communication, presentation, and collaborator leadership skills.
- Experience leading change initiatives and embedding continuous improvement practices.
- Relevant qualifications in Health & Safety, Environmental Management, or related fields.
- Relevant certifications (e.g. CSP, NEBOSH, ISO 45001) preferred.
