Responsibilities

To engineer increasingly complex systems and capabilities, the government is transforming legacy systems engineering methods and processes. Central to the transformation is the adoption of Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) as the means to manage complexity, increase engineering quality, and ultimately drive cost and schedule efficiencies into the acquisition process. As an industry leader in systems engineering, Arcfield is actively hiring MBSE modelers, software engineers and subject matter experts to drive this transformation across the government. Arcfield is seeking candidates who can help lead the transformation through application of MBSE industry best practices, and apply software development skills to MBSE practices to enhance Digital Engineering capabilities. For this position, the selected candidate is responsible for participating in a fast-paced software engineering team that will help transform MBSE and Digital Engineering practices using cutting edge technology to include Artificial Intelligence. The candidate should have software development experience, knowledge of AI fundamentals, and knowledge of SysML, or UML languages. The selected candidate should demonstrate experience in software application development, understanding of Digital Engineering, and knowledge of industry MBSE tools to successfully produce systems engineering models.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- This position requires an inquisitive, outgoing, creative, and motivated individual with sound software programming skills who can effectively collaborate with a fast-paced software development team
- Apply systems engineering modeling methodologies to develop software system models. The candidate should have knowledge of SysML, UML or industry standard modelling languages
- Integrate enterprise tools within a Digital Engineering environment. Develop software to extend and enhance capabilities of engineering ecosystems consisting of COTS tools through custom software application development and software tool integrations.
- Facilitate collaborative meetings between the MBSE modelers and stakeholders to deliver mission needs and help innovate potential solutions.
- Provides technical advice and guidance to senior managers regarding the creation and implementation of new MBSE methods and techniques.
Qualifications
- BS 0-2 years
- Must posses and be able to maintain a TS/SCI Clearance and be able to obtain and maintain a successfully adjudicated Polygraph.
- BS in engineering, computer science or related technical degree
- Demonstrated knowledge and practical application of UML / SysML modeling languages and experience applying this common structure to an MBSE solution.
- Demonstrated knowledge of Cameo or other UML based Architecture modeling tools.
- Strong programming skills and demonstrated experience with Software Engineering Tools, Languages and Technologies (Java, Python, Scripting languages, GitLab, IDEs, CI/CD, Agile, MLOps, DevOps)
- Software Application Development and Integration experience (SDK, API, RestAPI, WebApp development)
- Familiarity with Cloud Computing technologies (Azure, AWS)
- Experience with systems engineering processes in support of system life cycle development.
- Basic knowledge of architecture, requirements engineering, CONOPS development, verification, test and system integration to accommodate End to End Systems Engineering.
- Demonstrated communication skills especially with tools developers and senior government officials.

This is the projected compensation range for this position. There are differentiating factors that can impact a final salary/hourly rate, including, but not limited to, Contract Wage Determination, relevant work experience, skills and competencies that align to the specified role, geographic location (For Remote Opportunities), education and certifications as well as Federal Government Contract Labor categories.
