Apple’s Platform Architecture group is seeking an experienced systems engineer, who will support our current, as well as develop new hardware/software interface technologies for chip development and verification. You will work with and support our world leading silicon engineering teams on next generation chips, which end up in the hands of millions of users worldwide.

• Design and develop new technologies for interfacing software to hardware prototypes.
• Work with software, design verification and silicon validation teams to deploy and transfer this technology.
• Support various groups (software, architecture, verification, validation) in the use of existing and the development of new technology.
• Work independently and lead deliverables to different teams.
• Occasional travel to development groups in the US and overseas.

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related engineering field.
• Experience programming in C++.
• Experience with multi-threading/concurrency.
• Experience with a scripting language such as Python or Lua.
• Experience with debugging and profiling tools.

• 10+ years of relevant industry experience.
• Experience with C++17 or later, including templates for compile-time optimizations.
• Experience with SystemVerilog, HDL simulation tools, and protocols such as AXI.
• Experience with atomics and memory ordering.
• Experience moving data over sockets, shared memory, or PCIe.
• Experience with internal customer support.
• Excellent communication, analytical, and documentation skills.
