Responsibilities:
- Own the technical direction of Apollo's most critical and ambiguous problems.
- Make architectural bets that shape the product and platform over multiple years.
- Set the technical strategy for the rebuild around AI and agents.
- Raise the engineering bar across the organization through standards and decisions.
- Multiply the output of engineers through design, review, and mentorship.
- Partner with engineering and product leadership on technology direction.
Requirement:
- A track record of setting technical direction that shaped a product or platform.
- Depth in distributed systems and architecture, with command of reliability, scale, and cost tradeoffs.
- The judgment to make difficult calls under ambiguity and influence alignment across teams.
- Experience in multiplying the effectiveness of senior engineers.
- Genuine fluency with AI-assisted development and a clear vision for the future of engineering with AI.
