Are you passionate about building quality into software from the ground up? We're looking for a Software Developer in Test to join a close-knit and supportive engineering team where collaboration, knowledge sharing, and continuous improvement are at the heart of everything they do. This role is primarily focused on backend testing, with a significant emphasis on validating APIs, services, integrations, and automation frameworks that support critical business functionality. Working closely with developers, product teams, and fellow QA professionals, you'll play a key role in ensuring the reliability, scalability, and performance of customer-facing platforms.

What you will be doing:

Designing, building, and maintaining automated tests across UI, API, and service integration layers.
Developing and enhancing test automation frameworks using Playwright and TypeScript.
Integrating automated testing into CI/CD pipelines to provide fast and reliable feedback on deployments.
Collaborating closely with developers and product teams to identify risks, define test coverage, and embed quality throughout the development lifecycle.
Creating and maintaining test data, mocks, and supporting tools to enable efficient and repeatable testing.
Investigating test failures, identifying root causes, and working with engineers to resolve issues.
Performing targeted exploratory testing across complex user journeys and critical business processes.
Driving continuous improvements to test reliability, maintainability, and execution performance.

Hands-on experience designing and maintaining automated tests using Playwright and TypeScript.
Proven experience testing frontend and backend applications, including REST APIs, service integrations, and end-to-end user journeys.
Experience integrating automated testing into CI/CD pipelines and improving test quality through automation.
Ability to analyse requirements, identify risks, and communicate testing outcomes effectively within a collaborative team environment.
