Account Manager – Benelux

Location

Rotterdam, Netherlands

Long & Piping Products | Rotterdam, World Trade Center

Do you enjoy building lasting customer relationships and developing new business? Alleima is a leading manufacturer of high value-added tubes and mechanical products in advanced stainless steels and special alloys. We work closely with customers to develop solutions for demanding industrial applications.

We are looking for an Account Manager to build strong customer relationships and develop sales of Alleima Long & Piping Products. Your initial focus will be the Benelux market, with our Rotterdam office in the World Trade Center as your home base. You will manage existing accounts and identify new business opportunities, combining approximately 60% inside sales with 40% field sales. You will join our European Long & Piping team and work closely with sales colleagues and product managers in Sweden and across Europe. Over time, there may be opportunities to take on additional European markets. Learn more about Alleima at www.alleima.com.

Your Role

• Take ownership of sales development for your Long & Piping Products portfolio in the Benelux, working closely with European sales colleagues and Swedish product managers.
• Build long-term relationships with existing customers and develop new business, primarily with customers in the chemical and petrochemical industries, engineering companies and piping contractors.
• Combine approximately 60% inside sales with 40% field sales, building customer relationships through regular contact by phone, Microsoft Teams and customer visits.
• Understand your customers’ needs, maintain close contact and coordinate with product and technical colleagues when specialist support is needed, helping you strengthen relationships and grow your accounts.
• Keep customer and opportunity information up to date in the CRM system and share relevant market insights with product and sales management.
• Develop sales plans, prioritize opportunities and organize your activities to meet agreed sales targets.
• Report to the European Sales Manager, Long & Piping Products.

About You

You have experience in B2B sales or account management, preferably in an industrial environment. Your strengths are building customer relationships, understanding customer needs and turning opportunities into business. An interest in our products and a willingness to learn are more important than in-depth technical expertise. Experience with stainless steel, special alloys or piping products is an advantage, but is not essential: we provide product and application training to help you develop your knowledge. A qualification in a commercial or technical field is welcome, but relevant experience is equally valued.

You communicate confidently in Dutch and English. Additional language skills, such as French or Spanish, are more than welcome.

You enjoy building long-term customer relationships and actively identifying new business opportunities. You take ownership of your sales activities, follow up on commitments and work independently while staying closely connected with colleagues. You listen carefully, ask questions and keep customers informed, building trust through reliable follow-up.

What you can expect from us

You will join a collaborative and supportive international team where you can contribute your ideas and develop your skills. We provide training in our business, products and customer applications, including stainless steel and higher-alloyed materials. You will learn from experienced sales and technical colleagues and have opportunities for continued professional development.

We offer a competitive compensation and benefits package, paid holidays and a company car or mobility budget, in line with our company policy. This role offers responsibility for the Benelux market, with the possibility of taking on additional markets in the future.

This is a full-time position based at our Rotterdam office, with flexibility to work from home in line with company policy and the needs of the role. You will initially focus on the Benelux, with customer visits forming a regular part of your work.
