WFM Systems Engineer

The WFM Systems Engineer is responsible for designing, configuring, supporting, and optimizing enterprise Workforce Management capabilities within Kronos / UKG Pro Workforce Management. As a WFM Systems Engineer, you will combine deep WFM platform expertise with automation, integration, analytics, and AI-enabled process improvement to improve timekeeping accuracy, scheduling efficiency, labor compliance, payroll readiness, and employee experience.

What You Will Do:

• Serve as a technical subject matter expert for Kronos / UKG Pro WFM, including timekeeping, scheduling, absence, accruals, pay rules, labor levels, attestation, forecasting, analytics, and workforce compliance capabilities.
• Configure, enhance, and maintain WFM system components such as pay rules, work rules, accrual policies, attendance policies, schedules, profiles, security roles, workflows, alerts, and automation rules.
• Design and implement AI-enabled and automation-driven solutions that reduce manual work, improve data quality, accelerate issue resolution, and support proactive workforce operations.
• Partner with HR, Payroll, Operations, Legal, Compliance, Finance, and IT stakeholders to translate business requirements into scalable system solutions.
• Support integrations between UKG Pro WFM and related enterprise systems, including HRIS, payroll, identity management, data platforms, reporting tools, and middleware technologies.
• Troubleshoot production issues, integration failures, data discrepancies, configuration defects, and payroll-impacting incidents; coordinate resolution with internal teams and UKG support as needed.
• Lead or support system upgrades, release testing, regression testing, patch validation, enhancement deployments, and change management activities.
• Create and maintain dashboards, reports, extracts, queries, and analytics to support workforce insights, compliance monitoring, payroll validation, and operational decision-making.
• Document configurations, technical designs, support procedures, testing evidence, runbooks, automation logic, and operational controls.
• Identify opportunities to modernize WFM processes through AI, robotic process automation, workflow automation, self-service, exception management, and predictive analytics.

What You Need to Succeed:

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Human Resources Technology, Business, or equivalent practical experience.
• 5+ years of hands-on experience supporting Kronos Workforce Central, UKG Dimensions, or UKG Pro Workforce Management in an enterprise environment.
• Strong understanding of workforce management business processes, including timekeeping, scheduling, leave/accruals, payroll readiness, labor compliance, and operational reporting.
• Experience configuring WFM rules, profiles, security access, workflows, integrations, and reporting capabilities.
• Working knowledge of SQL, APIs, SFTP, file-based integrations, middleware, or data transformation concepts.
• Demonstrated experience troubleshooting system defects, integration errors, data issues, and business process exceptions.
• Strong analytical, documentation, testing, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to communicate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders across HR, Payroll, Operations, and IT.
• Experience with UKG Pro WFM advanced scheduling, forecasting, attendance, attestation, analytics, integration hub, or workforce integration manager capabilities.
• Experience applying automation, AI, machine learning, or intelligent workflow concepts to business operations or enterprise applications.
• Experience with Power Platform, Power Automate, Copilot Studio, ServiceNow, Azure, Boomi, Workato, or similar integration and automation platforms.
• Knowledge of labor compliance requirements such as FLSA, overtime rules, meal/rest break rules, union or collective bargaining requirements, and state/local wage-hour regulations.
• Experience supporting multi-location, global, retail, manufacturing, distribution, healthcare, or 24/7 workforce environments.
• UKG certifications or formal UKG training preferred.
• Up to 5% travel may be required

Compensation: This range is provided by Allegion. Your actual pay will be based on your skills and experience.

• The expected Base Salary Range: $110,000 - $135,000. The actual compensation will be determined based on experience and other factors permitted by law.
• Bonus Eligible: Yes
