Remote Quality Improvement Data Analyst

The Remote Data Analyst will serve as an embedded analytics partner and subject matter expert to operational leaders across the organization. This role is responsible for transforming complex operational and performance data into actionable insights, dashboards, and recommendations that support business decisions, operational efficiency, and strategic initiatives. The analyst will work across multiple data domains and systems, identifying trends, diagnosing process breakdowns, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to implement and measure improvements. This position plays a critical role in elevating data-driven decision making across operational functions and enabling the organization to deliver consistent, high-quality outcomes.

Job Responsibilities:

• Perform routine and ad-hoc analyses across operational datasets to uncover trends, variance drivers, root causes, and performance risks.
• Design, build, and maintain dashboards and reporting tools to enable transparency, monitoring, and proactive decision-making across business units.
• Partner with cross-functional teams (e.g., Operations, Finance, IT, Quality, Compliance, Product) to investigate issues and develop data solutions.
• Translate complex analytical findings into clear stories, business implications, and recommendations that influence strategic and operational decisions.
• Support efforts to standardize data definitions, data quality checks, and KPI frameworks across operational domains.
• Serve as an analytics resource and data steward for initiatives involving new systems, workflows, process redesign, or operational transformations.
• Develop analytical models and forecasting tools to support capacity planning, performance improvement, and strategic initiative evaluation.
• Identify opportunities to automate data collection, reporting, and workflow processes to increase efficiency and reduce repetitive manual effort.
• Create visual storytelling artifacts that communicate insights effectively to both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Support regulatory, compliance, or audit-related reporting as needed, ensuring accuracy and integrity of operational data.

Job Requirements:

Experience:

Required:

• 3+ years of experience in data analysis, business intelligence, or operations analytics.
• Experience using data to support process improvement, operations strategy, or performance management.
• Understanding of calculation methodology, technical specifications related to Star Rating (HEDIS, CAHPS/HOS Survey, Admin, Part D) and overall Medical Advantage Quality Programs.

Preferred:

• Experience in a healthcare, insurance, or regulated environment.
• Experience working with cross-functional or matrixed organizations.

Education:

Required:

• Bachelor’s degree in Data Analytics, Business, Information Systems, Economics, Public Health, or a related field.
• 4+ years of direct relevant experience can be used to replace degree requirement.

Preferred: Formal training in data analysis, data management, Lean/Six Sigma, or BI tools.

Specialized Skills:

Required:

• Proficiency in SQL for data extraction and manipulation.
• Experience with a Business Intelligence platform (e.g., Power BI, Tableau, Looker).
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to translate data into meaningful insights.
• Ability to clearly communicate complex concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Understanding of core operational concepts (e.g., workflows, KPIs, SLAs, process improvement).

Preferred:

• Experience with Python, R, or advanced analytics tools.
• Knowledge of data governance or master data management principles.
• Experience in automation, workflow optimization, or building scalable data pipelines.

Pay Range: $70,823.00 - $106,234.00

Pay range may be based on a number of factors including market location, education, responsibilities, experience, etc.
