Middle Founding Account Executive — HR / CRA Background Screening

About Alias Intelligence

Alias is a leading due diligence background check provider for people and companies worldwide. Alias is a proven enterprise provider working with some of the globe's largest banks, commercial real estate firms, private equity, and law firms. Our product-market fit continues to expand with new releases and services. We're based in the US with employees in multiple countries and our tech hub in Austin, TX.

We are passionate about providing accurate and timely due diligence that provides the best possible client experience by facilitating appropriate opportunities while highlighting potential risks.

We are innovative and investing resources to redefine the customer experience through the Alias Portal. Our cloud-based, customer-centric platform automates report requisition and generation to give our clients freedom, flexibility, and security.

We are focused on continually evolving and streamlining our service offering and integrating new technologies to deliver the intelligence and insights you need to manage your business.

We're now taking that same rigor into a new market: HR and CRA (Consumer Reporting Agency) background screening, built for employers, staffing firms, and HR teams rather than deal-side due diligence buyers.

About the role:

We are looking for a Founding Account Executive to build our new HR/CRA background screening business from the ground up. There is no existing book and no established playbook yet — you'll be the one writing it. You'll define who we sell to, how we position against category incumbents, and what a repeatable motion looks like once you've proven it out.

You'll work directly with Revenue leadership and play a crucial role in establishing Alias's presence in this new vertical. This position will be remote and based in the U.S.

We are looking for a salesperson who is not afraid to hunt. There is no existing pipeline— expect to generate the large majority of your own pipeline in the early going. Leadership is more than willing to make many introductions to existing clients. Sales cycles favor speed and directness over complex demos and onboarding. Top performers will be salespeople who prioritize pipeline generation with daily and consistent outreach and treat the first year as market-building, not quota-harvesting. Top performers earn above average OTE.

What you'll do:

• Generate your own pipeline via multi-channel outbound hunting and warm referrals

• Attending industry events

• Daily sequence cadence

• LinkedIn outreach

• Focused & personalized emails

• We believe cold calling is alive, not dead

• Define and refine the ideal customer profile across employers, staffing firms, and HR/TA organizations, then build repeatable motion

• Identify and translate prospects' needs into thoughtful demos, negotiations, and, ultimately, orders

• Navigate multi-stakeholder buying processes spanning HR, Legal, Procurement, and Talent Acquisition leadership

• Work closely with your colleagues in client relations to onboard and activate new customers

• Tenaciously follow through on all opportunities while overcoming objections

• Continuously refine your tactics, pitch, and approach as one of the first sellers in this category

• Provide feedback to leadership. You hear the voice of the customer and directly influence positioning, pricing, and go-to-market as the vertical scales

What it takes:

• True hunter mindset with the proven ability to identify and develop new sales opportunities and manage a pipeline with urgency, especially in a market with no existing brand awareness

• 2–7 years of full-cycle, quota-carrying B2B sales experience, ideally within CRA/background screening, HR tech, or a closely adjacent compliance-driven services category — base and OTE scale with experience (see Salary below)

• Experience with Accio is a huge plus

• Experience selling into HR, Talent Acquisition, staffing, or related employer-side buyers (preferred)

• Track record of success in a quota-carrying role

• Ability to map stakeholders and build new relationships at all levels of an organization

• Effectiveness on screen and in person: video calls, conferences, and in-person meetings

• Great presentation, communication, and CRM skills (HubSpot knowledge is a plus)

What we offer:

• Ground-floor ownership of a new business line inside an established, 1,000+ client company — the credibility and resources of a scaled firm, without the bureaucracy

• Competitive compensation package, including an uncapped and accelerating commission opportunity

• Salespeople are paid on ALL renewals. Once you win a logo, they can pay you for life. Build your book.

• A great revenue tech and data stack (HubSpot, QuotaPath, ZoomInfo, Sales Navigator, Fireflies, Loom, Grammarly, etc.)

• A ramp draw during the initial building period, to account for the vertical's early-stage pipeline

• Generous PTO and vacation policy

• 401k matching and health, dental, and vision plans

***Base salary and tier placement will be based on experience, direct industry exposure, and potential existing industry relationships.
