QA Engineer

As a QA Engineer, you’ll play a vital role in ensuring the quality and reliability of the platforms, pipelines, and applications we build. This role is ideal for someone ready to take greater ownership over QA activities, contribute to test automation, and work collaboratively with engineers, analysts, and Data Scientists. You’ll help shape how we test and deliver production-grade solutions across data and AI-driven systems.
Please note that ​this is a site based role that requires SC level clearance. 
Essential:

• Demonstrable experience in software QA or testing roles, ideally in a consultancy environment.
• Familiarity with writing and maintaining automated tests using tools like Playwright, Storybook, PyTest, Jest, Vitest or similar.
• Experience testing APIs and web applications.
• Strong understanding of QA methodologies and software delivery processes.
• Experience working with CI/CD pipelines and version control tools (e.g., Git, DevOps).
• Clear communication skills and ability to collaborate with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• A proactive approach to learning, problem-solving, and continuous improvement.

Desirable:

• Exposure to data projects or testing in analytics environments.
• Knowledge of SQL and ability to validate data between systems.
• Experience working with ELT/ETL pipelines.
• Familiarity with performance testing tools or security testing concepts.

This role will see you: 

• Help define QA best practice and process within regulatory frameworks.
• Contribute to documentation, identify appropriate tooling and promote knowledge sharing within the team.
• Collaborate with developers, engineers, and delivery leads to define acceptance criteria.
• Provide input during ceremony’s and phase-gate reviews to drive quality-first delivery.
• Create, execute and maintain both manual & automated test scripts for data driven web applications.
• Carry out regression, functional, integration, and exploratory testing.
• Help triage bugs and issues, working with the team to resolve them efficiently.
