Senior Software Development Engineer, Growth Team
JOB LEVEL
P40EMPLOYEE ROLE
Individual ContributorThe Opportunity
The Growth Tools team builds the experimentation and growth infrastructure behind Adobe Express. We own an end-to-end platform for A/B testing, progressive feature rollouts, session tracking, and campaign integrations, enabling teams to experiment, learn, and safely deliver experiences to our users.
Our work spans the full engineering stack — from client SDKs and platform experiences to backend and edge services, data stores, cloud infrastructure, and integrations with other Adobe systems.
We’re looking for a product-minded Software Engineer who enjoys working across different parts of a system, solving complex problems, and taking ideas all the way to production.
What you'll Do
- Design, build, test, deploy, and operate capabilities for experimentation, feature rollouts, session tracking, campaigns, and other growth tooling.
- Work across the stack, including client and platform experiences, backend and edge services, APIs, data stores, cloud infrastructure, and system integrations.
- Own features and systems end-to-end, from technical build and implementation through rollout, observability, and production operation.
- Build pragmatic, scalable solutions while balancing delivery speed, maintainability, reliability, and developer experience.
- Collaborate across teams and evolve systems that depend on shared APIs, contracts, and infrastructure.
- Contribute to technical direction, architecture, engineering practices, and the growth of the team.
What you need to succeed
- Strong software engineering fundamentals and experience building production systems.
- 4 + years of experience in a software development engineering position
- Proficiency in one or more programming languages, with the ability to learn and work effectively across different technologies.
- Experience building services, APIs, and integrations between systems.
- Experience working with databases and making sound decisions around data modeling, performance, and scalability.
- Familiarity with cloud architectures and operating services in production.
- Strong problem-solving and debugging skills across application, service, data, and infrastructure boundaries.
- Ability to navigate ambiguity, turn problems into practical technical solutions, and drive them through to production.
- Curiosity about new technologies and enthusiasm for using AI-assisted development tools and workflows to improve how software is built.
Our technology landscape
Our technology landscape spans TypeScript/Node.js, AWS, MongoDB/DocumentDB, edge and CDN-based services, and modern web development frameworks and tooling. Experience with our exact stack isn't required — strong engineering fundamentals and the ability to learn across technologies matter more
Experience with experimentation platforms, feature flags and progressive rollouts, analytics or telemetry, real-time configuration, or distributed systems is a plus.
