Internship Details

• Period: 4 – 6 months

• Hours per week: 32 - 40

• Location: Hybrid (ITO office, Amsterdam and work from home)

• Start date: February 2027

THE WORK

Hi (potential) master student! We are looking for a thesis student to join the AI & Data practice of Accenture Song. This practice brings AI & Data solutions to the clients in close collaboration with Design and Digital Products, Commerce, Marketing and Service. Together, we merge creativity and data-driven marketing with distinctive business consultancy. Each practice plays a vital role in helping companies organize and build brands that perform!

As an AI & Data thesis intern, you will work at the intersection of data, AI and the customer. You will collaborate with our consultants who strategize, design, implement and optimize AI-driven solutions for our clients, bridging the gap between business needs and cutting-edge technology across industries like retail, automotive and financial services.

Our Teams
AI & Data consists of four teams. You apply to the AI & Data practice as a whole: after the first conversation, we match you with the team that best fits your profile, interests and proposed research topic.

Customer Tech

The technology and data foundation behind every customer interaction. We design and implement customer and marketing technology ecosystems (CDPs, Salesforce, Adobe, Google Cloud), make data ready for AI, connect systems end to end, and embed agentic AI into marketing and customer processes, so clients can scale AI across their customer journey.

Marketing

Data and AI driven marketing, from insight to activation. We turn customer and marketing data into insights, segments and predictive models, measure what marketing delivers (ROMI, attribution, marketing mix), and use AI for personalization, content creation and campaign optimization.

Service

AI and data across the full service and customer care journey. We redesign service operations with conversational AI, contact center automation and agent assist, use data to predict and prevent customer issues, and measure CX, loyalty and retention, so service becomes more efficient and more personal at the same time.

AI Practitioners 

Strategy to adoption for AI at Accenture Song. We shape AI and data strategy and business cases, build customer-facing and internal AI solutions (LLM applications, RAG, prompt engineering, agents), evaluate quality and safety, and lead change management and enablement, so AI delivers measurable growth and experience impact.

Daily Tasks
On a daily basis, the following can be expected:

• Write your thesis as your main priority, supported by dedicated people in our team;

• Conduct research within the AI & Data domain of your team;

• Explore and map AI opportunities within client workflows, from marketing and service to customer technology;

• Design, prototype and potentially build AI solutions such as agents, LLM applications or data products;

• Contribute to hands-on client deliverables;

• Get the opportunity to present your results to our team and others within the organization at fixed times;

• Together with the other interns, you'll be challenged to add value to Accenture Song by coming up with your own company-wide project;

• Gain experience as a consultant within Accenture.

Research

We support research topics that connect to the following domains, among others:

Data & Analytics: marketing data science, predictive modeling, ROMI & business planning, web analytics, data readiness for AI.

Customer Experience & Personalization: CX measurement, AI driven personalization, customer retention & loyalty, predictive care.

Marketing Technology & Automation: martech implementation, CDP, system integrations, marketing process redesign with AI.

AI & Innovation: agentic AI and agent design, LLM applications and RAG, conversational AI, GenAI evaluation.

WHAT WE EXPECT FROM YOU 

We expect the following qualifications and skills from a thesis intern:

• A pro-active attitude;

• Be enrolled at a technical, digital and/or business focused Masters program in a Dutch university;

• Affinity with AI & Data within the field of marketing, service, customer technology or digital transformation;

• Programming experience, preferably in Python;

• Interest in agentic AI, LLMs, GenAI or martech platforms (e.g. CDPs, Vertex AI) is a strong plus;

• Experience with platforms such as Salesforce, Adobe, Google or Mistral is a plus;

• Ability to problem-solve through analytical and technical approaches;

• A hands-on mentality;

• Entrepreneurial and creative mindset;

• Independent working attitude;

• Proficiency in Dutch and/or English;

• Curiosity to develop yourself further.

• Get expert support on your thesis topic while leveraging all Accenture resources;

• Be part of one Song program where you are required to collaborate with other interns at Accenture Song from our different offerings (AI & Data, Commerce, Design & Digital Product Creation, Marketing and Consumer Services);

• Work on a large internship long consulting project together with your STF group. This will allow you to not just get a glimpse of one of the four capabilities, but you will really get to see everything Accenture Song has to offer;

• Be part of the Accenture Song community through companywide and intern specific engagement events

• Enjoy the wide variety of training opportunities;
