Trading Systems Project Manager
abra is recruiting a Trading Systems Project Manager to join a challenging project in the financial markets domain.
The role combines project management, systems ownership, professional leadership, and ongoing support of business-critical trading systems. You will work closely with business users, technology teams, development teams, and global external vendors.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage projects related to trading systems, including implementation, upgrades, maintenance, and continuous improvement.
- Take professional and operational responsibility for trading systems in production.
- Work closely with business users, technology teams, service teams, and external global vendors.
- Lead and coordinate development and maintenance activities, including task breakdown, allocation, monitoring, and delivery.
- Provide professional guidance and support to development and systems teams.
- Manage and resolve production incidents and critical issues during trading hours.
- Monitor project progress, identify risks and escalate issues when required.
- Ensure quality, timelines, procedures, and operational standards are maintained.
- Lead technological initiatives and promote new technologies, tools, and process improvements.
- Optimize work processes throughout the systems' lifecycle.
- Work effectively in a dynamic, high-pressure environment while managing multiple tasks and priorities.
- Communicate regularly with global vendors and external partners in English.
- 10+ years of experience in Information Systems, including proven experience leading projects and supporting information systems.
- Mandatory: Proven experience with FX Trading Systems / Foreign Exchange Trading Room Systems.
- Proven experience in project management, including implementation, upgrades, and maintenance of information systems.
- Experience writing scripts on servers.
- 7+ years of experience with C# – an advantage.
- Strong systems thinking and broad analytical capabilities – mandatory.
- Experience in systems analysis – an advantage.
- Proven experience working directly with business users / end users – mandatory.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with strong written and verbal communication abilities.
- Ability to work effectively with internal and external teams.
- Experience working with global vendors and communicating in English – required.
